Guest guest
amber, you might want to read a book called "A Different Kind of Teacher" by John Taylor Gatto..he was a NY school teacher for many years...and he broke the rules and taught the kids and then left the school in a controversial way. There is a reason to label children--and a reason not to. He tells you why the government needs to label children. He also tells you why children appear to be disruptive in classes. I already saw it. They are growing energetic little beasties. Lock them down for 7 hours a day and don't let them rip, roar, or express themselves and well--that is enough reason to be "hyper" by any name. Children need to use THEIR brains to learn THEIR way--and then they are much more relaxed individuals. Curiosity is what drives children to learn and play is their road to discovery. Shut down free play and discovery and there is depression. By the same token I don't expect my dog to sit on the sofa all day and be a good girl--I especially don't expect a puppy to sit still, don't run or chew--but I can get drugs that will make them do those unnatural things.
