Guest guest
Sharyn, do you have a juicer? If not, you really should get one. It’s a key to good health. It’s best to juice fresh apples – or fresh anything. I love it with vegetable juice as well, especially when I add the raw egg. Bottled cider is probably pasteurized, meaning its properties are destroyed and acidic. Plus, it’s fermented, which can be healthful, but not in this particular cleansing drink. Cider in the drink sounds icky to me. I don’t think I’d like that either. Carole Eddington Sharyn E. Guest guest
I remember when I first started doing " natural powders " in different varieties. You do get used to it and becomes pleasant. Also, depending upon your diet now if you are not mostly vegetables or low salt - your taste buds will adjust and everything becomes more flavorful and sweet. At least in my experience. herbal remedies , " Sharyn E. Cerniglia " <sharyn.cerniglia@v...> wrote: > Well, I had my first TN drink this morning, in apple cider because that's > all I had. Guest guest
Pasteurization is a heating process that destroys all the enzymes and turns the juice from an alkaline food to an acid one. Most of us are taking this because our bodies have become too acid. Cooking fruits or their juices makes them acidic. Plus, the enzymes are what we want and need for health – lots of enzymes!!! zengirl04 [zengirl04] Saturday, February 05, 2005 5:07 PM herbal remedies Re: Herbal Remedies - Total Nutrition, again.... Guest guest
Well, here's this morning's try....I juiced my grapefruit/orange/key lime mix and made sure to make about a batch-and-a-half. I drank my first big glass, then left the remainder in the food processor and added the leftover strawberrries/blackberries/raspberries from last night's fruit salad and a banana. Pureed it all with the 2TB of TN. It masked the taste pretty well....the only problem was the aftertaste. So now it seems I've got half the problem licked. But I'm still gagging over the aftertaste. Maybe I should drink that first and my lovely citrus juice second. Will try that tomorrow.... Guest guest
I had that problem when I first started doing Molasses. I'd pour off a little bit of my morning smoothie - add the molasses and " kick it back " like a shooter. Then I'd enjoy the smoothie. But, like everything else, you'll get used to taste and it will eventually become pleasant. The " earthy " grass-like taste is different than what we're used to. Guest guest
Yes, I do TN once or twice a day either in a smoother (banana, berries or cherries, coconut oil, apple juice or almond milk) or in straight org/unfiltered apple juice. I don't know what your diet is like, what type of spices you use - how much salt, etc., but changing diets to fresh vegetables and less salt will gradually change your taste buds. I am now used to the grassy-earthy taste of these types of supplments and they do taste good to me. When I was eating the traditional American diet, with processed foods, coffee, tea, sugar, and salt nothing tasted good to me except that. Now fresh herbal teas and fresh vegetables taste sweet when they didn't before. It takes time for the body to adjust. A healther diet, lots of pure water, and cleansing will help the change. herbal remedies , " Sharyn E. Cerniglia " <sharyn.cerniglia@v...> wrote: > > Zengirl, have you ever tasted TN?
