Guest guest
Hi Lisa, I will check the files on this Total Nutrition. I did not mention that I also have IBS, Hypothyroidism and Iron Deficiency Anaemia as well as Menorrhagia (which is why I am Iron deficient). Would these conditions cause this as well? My GP is not very informative when it comes to these conditions and I am not taking any medication except for the Hypothyroidism. I also have problems sleeping at night and have to alternate sleeping tablets with antihistamines to help me to sleep and get my hayfever and sinusitis under control. I do sound like a basket case but I think some of the weight problem might be due to the IBS and really nead help and an incentive to get rid of this weight as I don't want to end up getting depression over this (family history of that too). For breakfast I usually eat toast (wholemeal) with margarine and it could be apricot jam, marmalade, vegemite, peanut butter and/or honey - 3 slices. One cup of plunger coffee. Lunch I have one or two sandwiches (depending how hungry I am) with margarine, chicken, cheese, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and maybe some mayonaise on it. A mineral water (flavoured). Afternoon tea I might I have a mince pie, grapes or whatever other fruit we have around the house at the time or what ever cakes we have in the house plus a cup of herbal tea like lemon verbena. Dinner for the past week we have had meat pie with mashed potato and baked beans or homemade vegetarian pizza or smoked cod with mashed potato and green beans with icecream for dessert. A glass of white wine followed by a glass of red wine. We are a low budget family with both partners unemployed with a 14 year old living with us so we cannot spend much money on expensive weight loss products or expensive detox diets so I need something that is effective and cheap. However, it also sounds as if you're not eating right, if you're bloated. Check out the files on proper nutrition, especially the sprouting information. All nuts, seeds, grains, and most beans need sprouting before taking. In their usual dried state, they contain enzyme inhibitors, meaning that your body cannot absorb ANY nutrition from them and your body cannot digest them well!! So I would definitely put some attention on better eating, rather than weight reducing eating. In my opinion, better eating will help you loose weight anyhow, as your body will then be able to heal itself, and really absorb all your food, and discard the waste properly. This will stop your body from hoarding. love Lisa Find local movie times and trailers on Movies. http://au.movies.
Guest guest
aha! Hypothyroidism can make you put on weight!!! You need to take Panther Piss and Black Walnut Tincture - check on the files for those on how to make. Panther Piss will help with thyroid as well as iron deficiency, and black walnut tincture will normalize the activities of the thyroid. The Total Nutrition is always important with any health condition: natural remedies help the body heal itself, but it can only do that if it has the necessary basic building blocks! TN will give the body those basic building blocks with which it can repair itself. I am not sure on the medication you take - I'd suggest you give Doc a call on that one. I don't know if there could be any interaction, or whether you should stop the medication before attempting the herbal treatments. I am not a Doc, so cannot really advise you. Reason I know about these remedies is that I just discovered a thyroid condition myself and so have spoken with Doc extensively about the condition and about treatment :-)) About your diet, yes, you eat too many foods with enzyme inhibitors, and too many acid-ash producing foods from what you posted. If you cannot afford to buy/make sprouted grain bread, then at the very least take some enzymes with your meals. As far as acid-ash producing foods are concerned, have a look in the files where Doc has posted a list of acid-ash producing foods versus alkaline-ash producing foods. You need more of the alkaline kind and less of the acid kind. Also for weight loss, you need more natural foods and less processed foods. It's the processed foods that really get you! I totally understand the budget problem LOL. Try change what you can when you can - most improvements of health are done on a gradient, and so take one thing that you CAN improve now, and do that. Then take the next item, and do that. That's how I've done it! And perhaps if you don't buy any more wine, but use it on health foods instead? Guest guest
You would do well to order Doc's tape and listen to it, then call him for your free consultation. (The info about that came in your introductory emails to this list; they are also in the Files section at the list web site.) You'll spend lots less on good wholesome raw food than you're spending on all this food that your body can't assimilate and is causing a lot of your problems. Guest guest
Peta, you said: >>>For breakfast I usually eat toast (wholemeal) withmargarine and it could be apricot jam, marmalade, vegemite, peanut butter and/or honey - 3 slices. Onecup of plunger coffee.<<<<<<<<< I would diffinetly get rid of the margarine and sweets and substitute topping the toast with low fat rigotta cheese and fresh berries.>>>>>>>Lunch I have one or two sandwiches (depending howhungry I am) with margarine, chicken, cheese, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and maybe some mayonaise on it. Amineral water (flavoured)<<<<<<<<<<<< There is no need here for margarine or mayonaise on a sandwich if you use tomato. (I find tomatoes expensive unless they're from your garden.) Also cheese only ups the fat calories. Try using mustard. One sandwich should be plenty, but add fresh fruit and some raw vegetables instead of the 2nd sandwich.>>>>>>>>>Afternoon tea I might I have a mince pie, grapes orwhatever other fruit we have around the house at thetime or what ever cakes we have in the house plus acup of herbal tea like lemon verbena.<<<<<<<<<<< A great snack could be fresh fruit, fresh raw vegetables or 3 crackers topped with peanut butter (1 tsp per cracker) and cup of low fat milk. Never pie.>>>>>>>>>>>>Dinner for the past week we have had meat pie withmashed potato and baked beans or homemade vegetarianpizza or smoked cod with mashed potato and green beanswith ice cream for dessert. A glass of white winefollowed by a glass of red wine.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I wouldn't serve baked beans with potaoes (too much starch) but have carrots or broccoli, spinach or any kind of greens(no butter or margarine). Desert should be low in sugar and fat like fruit which has fructose instead of processed sugar. Peta, I hope this helps.
