Guest guest
Water distillers are NOT illegal. I have had one for over 20 years. Look on Ebay for great deals. It begs the question of how much urine is in the water as well. There was a state here in the US where people with water filters were noticing a brown substance in their filters... very bad. So is it OK for people in the UK to have their own stills? Not surprisingly, it is illegal here in the US, so we have to pay for our distilled water.. Guest guest
How much is it? What does it remove? Are you sure that buying by buying distilled water you are not getting cleaner water? Thanks. --- melajan wrote: > Waterwise carries various distillers - I've had > mine for approx 13 years - > easy maintenance, great customer service. Guest guest
Yes turning tap water into steam is actually what distillation is. But you have to capture the steam, cool it, and thus turns it back to water, less the impurities. This is the distilled water. This is done in nature via rain. Before our atmosphere was so contaminated, people used to collect rain water in cisterns for household use and consumption.
Guest guest
Distilled water is created by a steam process. Wouldn't turning tap water into steam automatically leave the impurities behind? herbal remedies , Konstantin Freger <kfreger> wrote: > > How much is it? What does it remove? Guest guest
Actually, even though we have a water conditioner for all water entering the house and the purifier in the kitchen sink, i still find deposits in the distiller after i run a batch of water. Same think when i boil water in a pot (that has come through the purifier) i still find residue sometimes. That being the case, i would think that anyone concerned with pure water would want to do as much as possible to " clean " their water before drinking it. The Sears distiller was like $129. We have looked upon our last couple of appliance purchases as gifts of health to ourselves and our family. we have skipped on various gifts to each other (Hubby and I) in order to get a distiller, juicer, food processor and all new stainless steel cookware. So when anyone says they dont have the cash, i say, skip your next birthday present and get something that will prove far more valuable than a dinner or a new dress.
