Guest guest
Hello! I've been a part of the list long enough to come up with some questions, just things I've been wondering about. If anyone knows any of the answers, feel free! =o) 1.) In doing research on ADD/ADHD, I have seen (somewhere) it printed that it is basically unheard of in other countries (I think I read it is because they do not consume prepackaged foods containing chemicals). If it is indeed caused by malnutrition, why wouldn't it be rampant in underdeveloped countries who don't have proper food sources to meet their nutritional needs? 2.) Why is alcohol the medium of choice in tinctures? Can something else be used in its place? Seems like there was another question I had, but can't recall it at the moment. I'll have to post with it later when it comes back to me! Thank you! Tracy in Ohio

Guest guest
Angel, There are several good books regarding the natural approach to dealing with (and healing) ADD/ADHD. There is also an article by Doc under the Articles section of the site. My speculation with regards to why 3rd world coutries have a lower instance of ADD/ADHD is that it may be realted to the fact that they probably do not eat many processed foods. Processed foods, candies, beverages etc, especailly stuf with Dyes and high sugars are some of the things linked with this disease. 2. Alcohol is the fluid of choice for tinctures because it is able to extract more of the components out of the plants you are tincturing than other things such as ACV. You can still use ACV, as long as you realize that your tinctures may not be quite as potent, although still effective. Sylvia herbal remedies , " Tracy Tucker " <tltucker@k...> wrote: > Hello!
