Guest guest Posted January 20, 2005 Report Share Posted January 20, 2005 dont forget to clean the back surface of the coconut or you will end up with a black and white type of milk. i think if you boil your coconut for 2 minutes and then quickly dump it in ice water -the back peel may come off for you- MAYBE -this is how its done in homecanning - you could also brine it with sugar and leave it to dry and it will keep for a long time ,if you vaccum pack it. vacuum pack machines are on sale right now at BJ's like 80$ and they are very usefull. you could even can coconut if you wish and you can freeze it as well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
