Guest guest
Doc (or mods), My daughter just found out she has several large uterine fibroids and the medicos have counseled her to consider surgery. THANKFULLY...we have talked to her enough in the last year or so that she called us to ask if there was an alternative way to address this problem. We of course told her she has to clean her diet up starting today, but i was wondering which of the female formulas might be best to get her started on? I'd like to get her started on tea or tincture (douche even???) as soon as possible so that by the time she goes back for a recheck in a couple of weeks perhaps we can see a slight change. Thanks in advance Sylvia
Guest guest
Sylvia, I wanted to let you know that I have had this problem before. These fibroids can often be caused by too much estrogen from birth control pills. I take a B complex with extra B6 which is supposed to help increase progesterone. Guest guest
Sorry to hear that Tonya. Sadly the daughter was most recently using an IUD (which we did not know about until she told us she had it removed today and this is when they told her about the problem) and prior to that...DEPO PROVERA!!!!!! ...ok you can all stop screaming now. Both hubby and i have been on her case to clean up her life (in every possible aspect) so while there is an immediate urgency to help her out, i hope that this is one of those " bad " things that happen, that will cause her to turn herself around long term. Guest guest
Sandra Ellis MH cured herself of fibroids using Wheatgrass juice every day. She drank it and also douched with it. She talks about it in her newest book Dr. Mom's Healthy Living. Guest guest
Sylvia, I hope you do not mind me responding to this but I have a " personal " experience with this. My wife has the same condition your daughter has and it was suggested she had them essentially scraped out. She could not handle this. But more to my point, does she spot? The reason I ask is because my wife does and we found that it was related to her weight. She's since lost about 20 lbs and the spotting has stoped. When she had her recent annual, they checked the fibroids and many I guess had disappeared. So, although this may not be an alternative method, but it worked for her and thought you may benefit from that info. She has increased her Green Tea intake and cut down considerably on coffee, actually all but eliminated coffee from her diet. We've also added many types of veggies to our diets which perhaps has contributed to her weight loss at least. Oh, my wife's gyno discourages the douche. This I guess (according to her doc) tears the lining. Hope this works, Jesse
