Guest guest
Peace everyone, I was curious if Doc or anyone has heard of this diet or not, or heard anything about it. I'll get more into detail on exactly what it is once i get out of class. I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention for now. Guest guest
I have heard of this and have done it for 10 days. It is a great way to lose weight and detox the body. If you are very toxic, then you should do an intestinal cleanse before you attempt this.....and in all honesty I would suggest this for all before this diet.....my sister was very toxic and she did this diet and got severe pain in her kidneys from not having her elimination organs working properly....but it is a great diet and you really don't feel hungry if you follow the directions.... natural game [mathmasta1111001]Wednesday, January 19, 2005 7:03 PMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Stanley Burroughs Lemonade Diet Peace everyone, I was curious if Doc or anyone has heard of this diet or not, or heard anything about it. Guest guest
True indeed. This is my 4th day, and i've followed every single instruction in pinpoint detail, and i haven't had a single "hunger" or "fatigued" complaint yet. and i work, go to school full-time, and still find a way to routinely exercise for at least an hour a day. Now before i got onto this diet, i had been taking a detox tea involving Juniper, Cornsilk, Yellowdock, Burdock, and Milk Thistle. And i also was daily taking a smoothie with Soymilk, Liquid Chlorophyll, Lecithin, and Blueberries or Strawberries. I also was taking Acidophilus, and also Arnica homeopathic medicine. The herbalist that i was checked out by indicated that i had an overly toxic kidney, as well as intestines. And that's was why she recommended those herbs for me. Are you familiar with any of those herbs.?? And if so, would that seem like enough to qualify as an intestinal cleanse.?? Guest guest
That sounds like a good path you are going on.....you may have to do the salt water flush (in the mornings) if you start to feel really flu-like and sick....the herbs you have taken don't substitute for an intestinal cleanse but they should get 2 of your elimination organs (liver and kidneys) functioning better.....the problem with a clogged colon is that when you do this diet if releases a lot of toxins ( a good thing) and places that burden on your liver and kidneys....so if they aren't up to par then you will run into some issues.... also I would avoid soymilk. The jury is still out of soy, but I have read a few articles in some alternative health mags I to that discount the benefits of soy....even going so far as saying that the countries (who are healthier than Americans) who consume soy consume far less than once thought....also soy, in larger amounts, wrecks havoc on your hormone levels...check out the January/February edition of the Well Being Journal. I buy this at my local health food store... Also the Acidophilus will help strengthen the good bacteria in the colon, which will help cleanse toxins.... I feel you are on the right path here, but just keep paying attention to your body and see what it is telling you...I think if your Kidneys and/or liver start really aching bad that you can throw your detox tea into your cleanse which will help....drink plenty of water and the lemonade mixture, which personally I think tastes great!!! natural game [mathmasta1111001]Thursday, January 20, 2005 3:22 PMherbal remedies Subject: RE: Herbal Remedies - Stanley Burroughs Lemonade Diet True indeed. Guest guest
Very tru about soy. I've also heard mixed messages about it, and i've also thought to myself about it and came to the conclusion that it's being marketed commercially by businesses who purposely are attacking newborn vegetarians/vegans alike. the mentality of the average meat eater when it comes to a vegetarian is that they must consume a lot of soy to make up for their lack of "meat" in their diets.. and a lot of vegetarians fall for it.. i'm not a big consumer of soy anyhow.. and i've been educating my Self lately on the many alternatives to soymilk.. i've been inquiriing questions about coconut milk, almond milk that i can actually make my Self rather than just buying some soymilk.. so you're right on point with that. matter fact, this morning was the first morning that i did the salt water flush.. i'll probably do it 2-3 more times before the 10 days are done.
