Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Welcome to the group. Your question is a good one - I have heard this argument before. The answer is that if you drink pure, freshly juiced, Organic fruit and vegetable juices that are diluted half way with pure water, you should be just fine. The problem comes in when juices are pasturized, frozen, and sugars are added. Natural fruit and vegetable juices have amazingly healthy properties and though fruit juices do have a lot of sugars, it is OK to have some each day. I juice 2 apples every day and have it in the morning, diluted with water and I add some of Doc Shillington's " Total Nutrition " formula which has all the vitamins & minerals you need for an entire day. Veggie juice is better if you have a problem with sugars - it is incredibly healing and cleansing and you will NOT gain weight by drinking this. I personally have a problem with any " diet " that pushes people away from fruits and vegetables. This is where we get vital nutrients like calcium, magnesium, potassium, Vitamin C, and others. You get fiber from eating the whole fruit or vegetable raw, so doing this is also very healthy. My suggestion is to only do raw, organic, fresh juices instead of any sweetened or bottled juices. You will do great on these and they make you feel awesome and energized! I do my whole exercise regimine after drinking this juice. When I did Atkins long ago... there was a topic of juicing and I had thought this would be the best way for me to get veggies in my diet... well.... never went any further with it.. but the discussion was that when juicing it concentrates the sugars of the fruits... or veggies.. and since one is supposed to stay away from sugars... especially if sugar sensative... that juicing was not the way to go... but something inside me disagreed with this.. but I had put it on the back burner til now... Please educate me... what is your view regarding this subject? Thank you for your time ... Debbie M P.S.
