Sour Orange Trees

Someone email me and tell me what usefulness I might get from

two " sour and very bitter tasting " orange trees that have plenty of

oranges. Someone has already told me that the juice from the oranges

is very good for marinating meats. Anybody else?

Doc says that the dried peels are a great source of Vitamin C.

Could you sweeten the juice with stevia or another complex sweetener

like agave?

Are they real oranges or kumquats? We had kumquats

for years and I thought they were small bad tasting

oranges. There are recipes for kumquats if that is

what they are. JB

Kumquats? I don't know. They are not small, they are "medium-sized" oranges. Jacque Brown <bastcats wrote:

No, the oranges are called Seville Oranges and they are very bitter, they

are normally used to make marmalade in the UK.
