Guest guest
The left side of my thyroid is inflammed (you can see my neck is swollen on that side) and it hurts when I swallow. I have never had thyroid issues before. I'm now 9 months post partum. My doctor has scheduled me for an ultrasound on November 1st to just " be sure. " Of course I have a friend that had thyroid cancer a couple of years ago at age 26 so I'm a little freaked out. However, I told another friend about it and she said she was diagnosed with post partum thyroiditis. So I'm wondering if anyone has had this, and what the treatment would be? Guest guest
Sorry to be so tardy, and I am hoping that someone has already responded to your question, or that you have otherwise resolved the issue. If not, just be aware that thyroiditis quite often manifests when female hormones are stirred up, like during pregnancy and postpartum. If you test with Hashimoto's, as I did postpatum after needle biopsy on my thyroid lump, you may have to take thyroid meds. Just be aware, that's all, not to worry.
