Guest guest
The oils found in fish are a blend of Omega-3 and other saturated and unsaturated oils. They all have different freezing points. As the sample is frozen, the different oils congeal at different temperatures. One would obtain different freeze-profiles depending on the make up of the oil blend. It is not a reliable test unless it is used as an indicator such as testing the consistency of the purity of a known blend.
