Guest guest
Can someone please help me? My granddaughter has not had any of her vaccinations and her mother had planned to homeschool her. It now looks like she will send her to public school. I know there's a form that she can get so that she won't have to get her vaccinated but can't for the life of me remember what it's called or how to go about getting one. I sure hope someone here can help me. Thank you, Lin

Guest guest
Those forms use to be available at any local health department. You may want to call their immunization clinic and ask the nurse if forms are still available there for it. , " L Smith " <tools4health wrote: > > Can someone please help me? Guest guest
You will not get a good reception if you call and ask the pediatrician or the school about this. You need to be prepared or you will just get an argument. I have spent many a pediatrician visit wasting time on this topic. Here is a link for a wonderful Web site and their page about exemptions in each state. http://www.909shot.com/state-site/state-exemptions.htm In Pennsylvania, we did not need a form, we had a statement prepared and signed and gave it to the school nurse when we registered for kindergarden. We also had to sign their health form card. But we kept it as low-key as possible and have had no problems. -- Maria -------------- Original message -------------- " Angela " <dingy0bama0brat Those things are different in different parts of the country Try calling the school board or asking pediatrician
Guest guest
If you go to the Think Twice website there is heaps of info on different state requirements for opting out of vaccination, along with assistance on the various forms needed. Guest guest
That depends on what state she lives in. All but two of the states have a religious exemption, and many also have a philosophical exemption. My state only has a religious exemption, and when I enrolled my children in Kindergarten, the nurse had a form to fill out, and on the back was the vaccination history. i checked off " religious exemption " , and that was it. Please know, however, that it depends on the person you deal with. Some don't know the law, and might give your daughter a hard time. Some might think that they are " saving the world " by harassing parents into vaccinating. I was lucky, the school nurse gave me no trouble at all with either of my kids. Guest guest
Many moons ago, when I attended college, I had a fear of having to have those poisons injected into me (I still do). I couldnt get into school without certification that I had them…so I resorted to what school children do with notes sent home: the form was turned in complete and signed…with no comment or question; and without poison in my system. ( that isn’t intended to necessarily encourage noncompliance. But we do have rights; and if those in authority do not recognize them, then I do not recognize the necessity to be honest with them either.)
