Guest guest
Hi All, I recently discovered I am gluten intolerant and Casein as well. I'm allergic to Rice and Corn gluten both big substitute foods for Celiac. My IgG shows an allergy to corn gluten but not corn. How is this possible and what does this mean? Can I have corn? Corn chips? Pop corn? Corn starch? Thanks! Shelley
Guest guest
If you have Celiac disease rice and corn are allowed and have no gluten in them. If you have true allergies to these foods you could still eat oats, because oats, although they do have some gluten, do not seem to irritate the small intestine in many tests down with Celiac patients. I have Celiac disease and eat oats, but I don't have allergies to rice and corn. I eat rice, but no corn. I've had the food allergy testing done too, but corn and rice are okay.
