Guest guest
My first batch of Stevia had the bitter after taste but nothing since has had this maybe I have just made stronger drinks - in brewed dandelion coffee its fine - Xylitol gave me appalling diarrhoea and doesn't seem to be very well thought of does it - but stevia isn't very easy to use in cooking - bananas with stevia are good used instead of sugar there and can also be used as a fat substitute too - but then I guess we don't have to eat cakes or biscuits do we. The best Christmas pudding recipe I ever made uses bread crumbs (you can use gluten free) dried fruit and mashed up ripe bananas - you would never know the difference - so you could probably make cakes with this recipe too ............ Jane > " jenny " <jemma63 > > >>I just use Stevia powder and I mix about 1 tablespoon of raw sugar into it >>so it makes the actual sugar content pretty low when I want to make >>something sweet and the sugar makes the stevia more natural tasting >>without the slight bitterness.
