Guest guest
Hello, I am not a Dr. or a medical person at all, I'm just like you are --- wanting to always go the " alternative route " since prescription drugs killed my mother in '81 and my sister in '05. I was having alarming symptoms a few months ago --- hands shaking, trembling, trouble breathing, heart pounding and I was very fearful all the time. I went to my Dr. who said I was exhibiting depression and anxiety symptoms. She prescribed Paxil. After reading up on it on the web, I thought there was no way I was going to fill that prescription. So, I began to do some research. I bought myself a bottle of Carlson's fish oil (not cod liver oil) and began taking it --- one tsp in the a.m. and one at dinner. Within just a few days my symptoms disappeared. I am calm and sleeping better. I wondered if it really was the fish oil, so I let myself run out of it. After 3 days without the oil, I was trembling, my hands were shaking, my heart was throbbing again. I started right in on the fish oil again and I am calm as can be now. I've also noticed that it makes my arthritis much better too --- not nearly as much pain. I do not sell the fish oil, I'm just passing on something that has really helped me alot and now I have the biggest bottle of it in my fridge that I could purchase and I've started my diabetic husband on it too. I've read three books from my library on Omega 3's and that has really opened my eyes to the benefits of taking the fish oil. Hope this helps someone. Guest guest
Hi Maggie: I take the same fish oil and it does work. I wouldn't be without it now. I am taking it for pain and stiffness of arthritis and it works wonderfully. I tried the same thing, staying off of it for a few days and the pain and stiffness returned. It also helps my mental outlook as well. Glad to see another advocate of Omega 3's. I understand that fish oil is great for the heart as well. , " mjmidwest " <maggie_hays wrote: > > Hello, > > I am not a Dr. or a medical person at all, I'm just like you are --- > wanting to always go the " alternative route " since prescription drugs > killed my mother in '81 and my sister in '05. >

Guest guest
I use Carlson's liquid, which states that it is fresh cold water fish from the North Atlantic, filtered and regularly tested by the AOAC for impurities, " guaranteed free of impurities and heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium, lead,PCB's and 28 other contaminants. " I tried Cod Liver Oil, but it was so awful-tasting. I am planning on also trying Salmon oil, but I read where one has to be careful on filtering and contaminants, so I read labels and research before I buy. I always try to stick to 'name-brands' when buying fish oil. Dion Schwulst <MontaraSpeaks wrote: What is your source for the fish oil, plz?
