The article you refer to says: " Almost everyone prefers universal Health

Insurance " . I am among the almost. I am just an individual not a part of any

drug company or anything else. Just have my personal opinion against making it

universal.

Actually Jack you may be right, at least in my opinion. I live in

Canada. And I was very surprised to read that Mike Adams evidently

thinks that the health plans in Canada was a good and fair health

plan. It most assuredly is not. In fact, we do not have just

one 'universal' health plan for the whole country, just to begin

with . And they are all have to be paid for by the consumers, like

me. You get what you pay g for, just like anything else. And if your

health plan does not cover a test or treatment or specialist, then it

means we have to pay for it on top of the health plan. And of course

alternative medicine in not covered under most of the plans - though

one can pay more money and also get a 'private' heatlh care plan too.

And or doctors and hospitals and equivilent of FDA, Health

Canada, non-profit associations, etc are influenced and corrupted by

the drug companies similar to the States.

If the plan is paid for by government, I would not object. But if I

am forced to pay money out of my pocket to pay for health insureance I

do no want, I am decidedly against it!

Why would anyone who endorses Alternative Health want Universal Health

Care? Almost everything supplied by the current broken allopathic

system is useless no matter who pays for it. Their system of diagnosis

can even be invasive and health threatening. I now am forced to accept

and pay for Medicaid. Next I will have to pay for not only everyone

else's drugs, but also their total reliance on the broken system.

The term universal itself is misleading. What it will really mean is:

if I work toward (and pay out of my pocket for) wellness and health, I

will have to support those who take no interest in it.

I have never seen a government financed system that has benefited me in

any way except the G.I. bill and Social Security and I paid dearly for

that both of them. The only way that I can possibly make Social

Security actually pay off is to live a very long time... and I just may

do that.

Thanks Shan, I hear the same thing from my Canadian friends. On the surface it

sounds good, but it is like building a house with straws, the first big wind is

going to tear it apart.

Universal Health insurance is not a free ride, it comes out of someone's

pocket.

I want universal health care provided that we have a choice of choosing

between an allopathic doctor or a naturalpathic doctor. If UHC is

limited to only allopathic therapies that push bad drugs and make

people sick then I am not so sure I would want it.

Some variation of universal health care might be the only way to make

alternative health care more available. Once the med and pharma industries

are satisfied that they'll have a stable source of income, they may not need

to squash the alternatives quite so hard. - Meg

There are so many problems with Universal health care in spite of

propaganda that is being put out there by people like Moore. It doesn't matter

how many people believe in it .Popular oppinion of the masses is the laziness of

the individual.

Putting money into gov. programs is like paying a whore; your'e goning to

get screwed! How about people like me, I never use allopathic medical

system? Will Universal Health care pay for my choice of medicine? For those who

believe in the allopathic system, will their choice in treatment be limited? (you

think your HMO choices are bad)Whos going to pick you doctor for you?

In countries that have Universal health care ,1 out of 8 critically

ill patients die before they are able to recieve treatment.Who wants to die

waiting?I have a friend in one of those countries . She needed a MRI .She lived

3 mi. from a MRI machine but she had to travel 50mi. to the one asigned to her

medical area.

I don't know alot about government funded health care but I ask what is

wrong with that? What would be better than what we have? It is no good to

have so many without insurance. Pauline

IF the government pays for it then everyone pays through taxes and taxes

come out of your pocket, just in a round about way.

But still you get a system that suppresses symptoms with drugs, radiation,

and surgery. It is NOT a health plan but a " drug pushers plan "

I never thought of that. How could the government cover the cost anyways.

they don't have the money for what we need now. And like you said, I want

to have choices. We all can never be happy. There are always bad strings

attached no matter what you have. Pauline

Hi All! I am a Canadian, and Socialized Medicine is right here in my

back yard. I have/am using the system right now (have an appointment

even today). Alternative medicine once was partially covered (10

visits only), but now, as privatization creeps into it (contrary to

whaat most citizens want), it seems no longer covered. Except with

trauma or broken bones---at which mainstream medicine excells---we

are not forced (in many conditions) to use drugs. Even some of those

do have a place. Profit, as we well know, drives much of that, and

the patient still must be informed, independently of the doctor. In

my present case, I must go for (State paid for) physiotherapy, and

learn again, how to walk. Physiotherapy has been covered up to 10

treatments in a private clinic, and now I go to a rehabilitation

hospital. I have a great array of supplements (I pay for) and 2

drugs. I would have more if I could afford to. Here, many Canadians

contemplate a U.S. system with horror. Our system is not perfect,

but necessities are covered (the 2 drugs are covered--$2,000

easily). We are taken care of, in the event of an accident. Surgery

and many drugs are of questionable value, but for those who want this

route, it is covered. Yes, the system is biased, but we can use our

judgement, and be as well informed as we choose. Yes, there are

probably better models, but few are willing to give up what we have.

What's this nonsense? The " government " doesn't pay for anything, people do.

What we call the government, is nothing more than a convenient place for the

funds that " people " supply, to accumulate, and to be used for various purposes.

The question is not, do we want the government to pay for health care; the

question is do " we " want to pay for the health care (whatever it is) that we

believe, we're all entitled to receive? People talk about " government " paying

for things, as if it's a mysterious place in the sky, out of which we get money.

It's simply " your " money. We each make a relatively small contribution, to

insure that all members of your society receive life-saving medical care. It

hasn't bankrupted any society; in fact, it saves money, extends the life of the

people that participate in these programs, and results in less sickness overall.

We provide universal approaches to all manner of things in our society, from the

mail to the military. The only reason universal health care is opposed, is that

a handful of rich people want to keep a system that gives them immense profits,

with horrible consequences for everyone but them, and we're all fool enough to

fall for their bullshit.
