CS can be mixed with DMSO which acts as a carrier to get down deeper into the tissues. Guest guest Posted June 21, 2007 Report Share Posted June 21, 2007 The patient died last year - I think we eventually chose one of the commercially made dressings with silver and charcoal in - it was very difficult to manage a man weighing over 200lbs who was demented, aggressive and unable to weightbear or move around - I know that the wound had healed before he died though which was great - in a patient like that unfortunately the skin starts breaking down and it is very difficult to keep up with the wounds that can develop.
