Moderator's Note:

 

While this is a good cause and Ron Paul is trying to make a difference- it is

not meant to address CODEX- nothing on a national level will affect CODEX- other

than getting us out of participating in the harmonization of our laws to global

standards- the whole point is that the international rules will superceed

anything that any nation may want. This is good for other issues just not

CODEX.

 

I saw a message earlier this week where Natural Solutions Foundations was

pushing this info- they are now a known controlled opposition group- they have

more than once created confusion and mis-information to further the progress of

CODEX. This is simply a distraction when it comes to CODEX- it is a good bill

for what it does but it does not do anything for CODEX.

 

Please research CODEX thoroughly for yourself, understand the issues, the powers

that be are getting very, very tricky and making the waters murky intentionally.

But that means we are making a differnce!

Donna,

 

Thanks for keeping people informed about this vital issue! I always look

forward to your emails.

 

Right now, we may be able to make a bit of an end-run around Codex by

codifying strong statutory language to protect Dietary Supplement Health

Claims.

 

Dr. Ron Paul has introduced a bill to do just that. With the Kennedy

pro-FDA

bill in the House now, and with our Representatives very much aware of the

nearly 200,000 people who just complained to the FDA about the anti-CAM

guidance, we have an opportunity for the House to amend the bill to protect

DSHEA products (like the Senate did) and to add protection for foods and

natural rememdies.

 

We are seeking co-sponsors for Paul's HR.2117 -- his legislative aide, Norm

Singleton, told us earlier today this would be the best thing for us to do.

In the past 3 days we've generated 17522 messages to Congress supporting the

bill!

 

So please spread the word about the Health Freedom Protection Act! Action

I am aware that there are some people out there in the health freedom

movement

telling us to ignore the Ron Paul bill. This is very short sighted, since

new

laws trump old laws and this bill would give our courts good legal reason to

limit the impact of Codex. Both NHF and NSF are supporting the Paul bill,

and

other groups are getting ready to do so.

 

Dr. Paul, the only true Constitutionalist in Congress, took a strong

position

against the FDA anti-CAM guidance (calling it " an abuse of FDA power... " )

and

is now, by some measures, the leading candidate for president, with a

stronger

Internet presence than any other candidate of either tax-eating major party.

We could get an anti-Codex, anti-NAU, man of great integrity and honor, in

the

White House... it could happen. If we believe and act!

 

Additionally, when you read the Codex Statute you find that their guidelines

are " advisory " only and must be enforced by national legislation (or by

back-door " law " like WTO), so the more pro-health legislation we can get

passed, the stronger our position will be.
