Or perhaps you took too much. If you want a couple days then try it again and get the same results maybe that oil was bad? Dawn

I would also suggest getting a copy of Donald Lepore's book on balancing the body as to what could be out of sink here if this is the reaction you are getting. It could be anything fromsolvants to poor digestion to chiropractic adjustments needed ......... Bethanne Elion Poultney, VT

Cod Liver Oil does not " give " you diarrhea. Emulsified cod liver oil is the most bioavailable of all, however cod liver oil, especially if they are the inferior brands found in your local pharmacies will not produce the same benefit as pharmaceutical or Norwegian fish oils found at your local health food store. Also cod liver oil is extremely high in vitamin A and it is difficult to rely on cod liver oil alone to provide your optimal amounts of omega-3s. For this reason I would advise using only Norwegian fish oil. spectrum naturals is an excellent brand, also Carlson's. Most are preserved with soy based E . Two that are not are Wilderness Family (currently unavailable but will be back into production soon) and the cod liver oil from http://www.greenpastures.org - I believe this is the same brand available through drron.com which is an interesting and very informative web site. I'm sure if Carlson's includes soy oil in their products, it would be organic soy oil! Although soy oil is an omega 6 as well, which goes against all logic to use soy oil in a fish supplement. I'm not going to take your word for it, Carlson's is a very good brand of fish supplement (taken directly from pristine Norwegian waters) and more often than not this would be just some sort of hearsay from a fierce competitor in the field. The vitamin wars can be just as problematic as all the big pharma rhetoric I've found. I trust this brand, that's the bottom line and I stand by my comments, however I don't use cod liver oil myself and I don't recommend anyone else's use of cod liver oil products! You misread my post completely, hon!! If you wish to comment on my post, please read it first. Thanks! Regards, JoAnn >
Guest guest
Myself, I prefer TwinLabs but what ever brand you uses ,I think its important that brand is certified to be free of heavy metals and PCB. mod.note - Michael T. Murray, ND, advises Pharmaceutical and Norwegian fish oils to be free of heavy metals and other contaminants, however this is an area where we need to do our own research, I believe.
