How to get rid of Candida..

I have tried my best at some point to stick some

starvation type diet for about 5 months, drank pau d'arco, consumed

garlic, but it never went away. Now some years later I completely

disregard the diet, because I was unsuccessful in getting rid of it,

and I can't go on forever not eating like everyone else. Is there

something in oriental medicine or something potent to get rid of it.

I don't mind going back on the diet for a short period of time again,

but there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Just have a few suggestions that may help.

Of course you would have already done a google-Search on the common

causes of Candida.

Starvation 'diet' doesn't sound like much of a help for any condition,

surely it would lead to mal-nutrition and cause a list of other problems.

Forget about " eating like everyone else " considering that the majority

of the population is obese and unhealthy!!

Get your pH levels checked regarding Urine and Saliva, this can be a

good base starting point.

You might consider starting right away to add Unrefined Virgin Coconut

Oil to your daily diet, its yummy. Also plenty of info is available on

the net about VCO.

A good diet would consist of a Balance of Protein, Carbohydrate, and

good FATS. Each individual needs to educate themselves about this, it

is our fuel for Life. The only REAL foods are those which are as close

to Natural as possible with little if any processing. All highly

processed foods can poison your system, mostly via excess Sugar.

Avoid most things which appear as 'food' and are WHITE.

Have a happy and wholesome Life

Thanks Ric, it seems unreasonable to go on forever

not to be able to have the occasional beer or soda. It's not like

I drink much either. And it seems crazy not to be able to eat

bread. I never took antibiotics at any length. I just had some

major stress at one time and then went to Egypt for a few months

which is when I got full-fledged candida symptoms, and it got worse

when I went to the U.S. and taught in a dangerous neighborhood. At

the moment, I am doing all right in Korea.

These past few days, I have been not having any cokes,

no bread, eating kimchee. I would love to have Kombucha or Kefir,

but they don't have that stuff in Korea since Korea still hasn't

caught on to that kind of thing. A pharmacist gave me some pills

that he said could help clear my candida out. I have no idea if

there are side-effects to the pills or what they will really do, but

I feel I've got nothing to lose anymore since it's been around for

too long and doctors in the U.S. were of no help. I haven't had

much sugar at all for the past few days. I am going to get a

yogurt maker and ferment yogurt into something called Labneh which

has a lot of bacteria. I want to basically be able to ate the same

foods I used to be able to eat within moderation. I did take some coconut pills

at some

point, and boy did they taste awful and not do anything. The only

things that have been somewhat helpful have been pau d'arco, garlic,

ginger, and Korean kimchee. Does this thing ever go away? I don't

mind a 3 month diet with basically no bread or cheese, but there has

to be some kind of logical way to get back into balance without

feeling I have to eat such a restrictive diet.

Hey Basil

You get around don't you! Good luck with finding your answer.

If it were me, and I was doing the most sensible things with diet to

no avail.......

I'd find myself a Traditional Chinese Doctor (even in Korea) and be

very open minded to their diagnosis and recommendations.

Happy Living
