Guest guest
I found some articles somewhere in this group the other day on how to stay healthy. They wearn't current posts but a group of articles saved somewhere. One of them said that wheat and oats are bad for you which I didn't know. I'm looking all around for those articles again and can't find them. Can someone please help direct me to them? Thanks very much, D.
Guest guest
Hello Dave. You were reading articles by Walter Last - it was the General Health Improvement series plus others. In the following article BASIC HEALTH IMPROVEMENT Part 1 Includes 'The Road Towards Disease' and 'The Road Towards Health'. http://users.mrbean.net.au/~wlast/HF1-1.html it had a list of 'problem foods', However, the same problem foods are major contributing factors in the development of disease of both groups. The main problem foods in our society are: 1. Cows' milk and its products, also lactose added to processed foods 2. Wheat and oats and to a lesser extent the other gluten grains rye and barley (beer!) 3. Sweet foods, especially household sugar 4. Hydrogenated fats (for example margarine) or heated oils and fats 5. Stimulants: overuse of alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco and drugs Wheat and oats contain gluten; sensitivity to gluten seems to have become fairly common these days. I know my Enviromental doctor now tests all her patients for gluten - the symptoms often do not show up until after 40, so I am told, but by that time much damage has been done to the intestines, etc. And then there is also the problem of mycotoxins, which is often seems to be the result of how grains are stored. I posted a couple of articles about mycotoxins from other sourses. The Top-10 MYCO-Toxic Foods http://www.mercola.com/2003/nov/5/toxic_foods.htm Multiple Sclerosis: A Chronic Mycotoxicosis? http://www.mercola.com/2003/jul/19/multiple_sclerosis.htm You will find that most sites which discuss candida food plans, cancer eating plans, etc will also tell you the same thing about grains, also. And corn does not have gluten; however, these days a large % of it is genetically modified [ GM] . best wishes Shan Question regarding group database: Posted by: " Dave Hermanson " moonphish moonphish_65 Mon May 21, 2007 8:37 am (PST) I found some articles somewhere in this group the other day on how to stay healthy. .
