Most practitioners accept now that magnesium is far more important than

calcium - and that taking magnesium at night can even stimulate the body's

calcium production - this theory was put to me by an alt. MD who now gives

her patients magnesium alone at night - I don't have a reference for this

info - it is the latest in the calcium debate tho. Magnesium is so good for

so many things - really worthwhile taking some regularly.

I've been reading alt.med. material since " 74 " .I'm seeing now ,many

doctors starting to say what the alt.med. been saying all a long. Most American

consume enough Ca++ but are low in Mg+ .We should at lease consume 700mg of

Mg+. Ive even seen some sources asking for a 1000mg of Mg+. However , the form

of Mg+ is just as important as the amount .Oxide form is the least vaule.

Chelate and then Citrate are the better choices.

This particular MD gives different brands to different patients - mine

contains: Mag.as Orotate 23mg, Mag as Aspartate 20.6mg, Mag as amino acid

chelate 35.3mg, giving elemental Mag 78.9mg and has additionally potassium

as aspartate 22.7mg and pyridoxine hydrochloride 5mg - this is what my body

repsonded positively to - after the pituitary was " adjusted " before this I

needed far more magnesium - I take two of these tabs each night - Eagle

Pharmaceuticals " Mag-Oro " - I like Eagle products. BTW this dose is

according to my tested needs - not a speicifc requirement according to

shoulds or daily averages .............
