Guest guest
I had recently posted a message about my aunt who was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer last year. the cancer quickly metastisised to the brain something that her oncologist overlooked, he is the chief oncologist at a hospital in Montreal. The radiology report stated that they found a small mass in her head, unfortunately the oncologist did not read the report, told her that nothing was found and that they would do another scan in 3 months well in those three months the tumor grew. Small cell lung cancer is very aggressive and spreads fast if you don't catch it in it's early stages and even if you do the chances are still very slim. oh, the oncologist told my cousin that it is standard procedure not to read the report if the radiologist does not insist on doing so. Listen to this, the doctor told my cousin that because radiologists sometimes over exaggerate to cover there butts about what they see or find, there reports are sometimes dismissed unless they are 100% sure, the report stated " possible small mass " how could someone miss that? How could he say that? they knew that it was inevitable that the cancer will spread. So due to the negligience of the CHIEF ONCOLOGIST my aunts tumor went undetected and it was quickly growing. she started drinking a tea 4 ounces a day and it did help her abit, she said she was feeling a little more energetic and not as fatigued but at such a late stage it could not do anything more. the cancer spread to her liver, kidney, breasts and throat. Last night she fell into a coma and today she passed away. It is so important that we take full responsibility and take action and not trust the opinion of our doctor only. If they had taken the report and insisted that someone read it she may still be alive today.
