and that is totally false. Unlike large doses of bad drugs used on a prolonged

basis (like Lipitor)

that can kill people,

large doses of vitamin c actually saves lives and DOES NOT cause heart

attacks.

My mom said she heard on the radio yesterday that large doses of vitamin C are

harmful and can cause heart attacks and other problems.

.

Hi Ruth,

I wouldn't doubt that your Mother heard this on

the radio but doesn't mean it's true.Lot of the media pickup on stories for hipe

not fact.Pharm.Co. have a big influnce on many station and feed them

misinformation. If you ever looking at a study, be sure to see who is sponsoring

the study . Some of these studies are waited to assure a specific results . Iv'e

personally seen people avoid CABG and unclogging their arteries by following

Linus Pauling's protocol. 6-18g of vit.C ( at lease500mg every 4hr. alf life

for vit.C is 30min.) and 6-18g of lysine a day. Since Pauling Institute start

treating people in the late " 60 " there has not been one death from anyone using

these.Neigther vit.C nor lysine have shown any negative side effects at high

doses.

Think about this among the great apes ,in the wild they consume

2-4g of vit.C a day. Our ancestors diet had about 3g of vit.C a day . Does it

really make any sense to believe 60mg. of vit.C a day is anough.(Note the great

apes in the zoo only get block arteries when their diet is low in vit.C.

search it and found nothing except the article I sent in about certain vitamins

causing prostate cancer. Has anyone heard anything about vitamin C in the last

few days? I get so confused with all this. I thought vitamin C was good in mega

doses. So is it healthy or is it going to kill us, lol.
