Are we not trading one form of pollution for another? Is there any information on this? Motors commutate at audio frequencies - low frequencies. I see internal combustion engines as far worse polluters. Guest guest Posted May 14, 2007 Report Share Posted May 14, 2007 Josephine, I agree with you and would add that if we came up with a perfectly aerodynamic hybrid bicycle or tricycle that could harness kinetic energy when coasting and breaking(like the current hybrid cars but with a much simpler electric motor and battery) it would be a double boom. It would help in the prevention of a lot of the degenerative diseases that waste so much of our healthcare moneys and it would also help heal the planet by reducing hydrocarbon emissions! We are so pampered and spoiled in this country that is literally killing us! If I were in charged, I would tax gasoline to $8/gal and use the funds for grants to American companies(that commit to stay in the USA) for the research/development/production of Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Fluvial, Fusion or any other technology that is renewable and/or environmentally friendly!
