There is current info suggesting that Calcium and Magnesium should not be

taken together - Nutrition Care Practitioner Manual Edition 4 " ............

Calcium's simultaneous use should be avoided to prevent any possible

antagonism of the calcium channel blocking effect of magnesium. " It is

recommended that magnesium is taken at breakfast and lunchtimes and calcium

at bedtime. The very latest recommendations however suggest that magnesium

is taken at bedtime alone and the body creates its own calcium - I have no

literature on that one however.

 

Recently I came across a patient who had been given eggshells as a child
