Guest guest
There is current info suggesting that Calcium and Magnesium should not be taken together - Nutrition Care Practitioner Manual Edition 4 " ............ Calcium's simultaneous use should be avoided to prevent any possible antagonism of the calcium channel blocking effect of magnesium. " It is recommended that magnesium is taken at breakfast and lunchtimes and calcium at bedtime. The very latest recommendations however suggest that magnesium is taken at bedtime alone and the body creates its own calcium - I have no literature on that one however. Recently I came across a patient who had been given eggshells as a child ....... Jane <surpriseshan2 Also take 400 mgs of magnesium citrate at the same time. Calcium and > magnesium need to be taken in at least equal amounts, and some people > require > more magnesium than calcium depending upon how much they obtain from their > diet.
