URGENT Texas Health Freedom update - Say “No” to SB 1168, HB 2419

and senators for the Texas Legislature. FAX your opposition. It is

VERY IMPORTANT that this be FAXED as it goes on record for sure

compared to emails.

Colleagues and Friends of Health Freedom,

We are facing a SERIOUS threat to our health freedom in the

state legislature, and we need to act NOW! I have attached copies

of the newly filed (yesterday) dietitians' practice act. Despite

our earlier " warning shot across the bow, " the 1,200 dietitians in

Texas have essentially thumbed their noses at the will of the 23

million people of Texas, thumbed their noses at YOU. Please be very

clear: this is a direct threat to your ability to access your choice

of who you see for health care in this state. These are the people

who brought you ketchup as a school lunch vegetable, Jello as

hospital food, and Diet Coke for diabetics. If this bill is

enacted, THAT will be the standard of nutritional advice imposed on

the people of Texas.

No matter who you are, this bill threatens your rights:

1. Citizen consumers will be unable to see anyone but a licensed

dietitian or medical doctor for professional nutritional advice!

2. Other licensed health care professionals (massage therapists,

sports trainers, etc.) who do not have nutrition as a part of their

license will have to cease offering that advice!

3. Naturopaths, clinical or certified nutritionists, nutritional

counselors or consultants, and " naturistas " will be OUT OF BUSINESS!

It is time for the citizens of Texas to get " pitchfork angry "

at the repeated attempts of this greedy special interest group to

take away our right to choose. The leaders of the Texas Health

Freedom Coalition will be meeting on Wednesday evening to formulate

a massive, coordinated response to this assault on our freedoms. We

will DEFINITELY need YOUR help, and the help of our fellow citizens,

to defeat this attack. Please watch your e-mail for future
