Fluoridation Exposure Chips away at Acceptance of the Protected Pollutant

It is now over 60 years since the United States Government started to

promote the widespread reuse of the fluoride hazardous waste generated in

Aluminum

and Phosphate fertilizer manufacture. Most of the countries of the developed

countries of Western Europe and Asia have banned fluoride from their water

systems in the face of the steady stream of studies linking fluoridated water

supplies to increased risks of bone cancer, hip fracture and lowered

intelligence in children. In March 2006 the National Research Council (NRC) of

National Academy of Sciences could no longer contain the damage and had to find

that the " safe " levels of fluoride in public water systems was not safe for

infants and should be lowered. The EPA cavalierly raised the Maximum

Contaminant

Level for Fluoride up to 4.0 mg/Liter in 1986, but the so called optimum

level of 1 mg/L is still too high for infants as stated in the NRC report of

3/2006. The American Dental Association (ADA) advised its members, but not the

public that foods for babies under 1 year should not use fluoridated water that

the ADA tries to get legislators to mandate in all water systems. The

questionable conduct of Harvard Dental Professor Chester Douglass in

misrepresenting and covering up the study of Elsie Bassin,PhD, that he

supervised showing

an increased bone cancer risk in young boys drinking fluoridated water raised

the most serious concerns.

Through all these battles the persistence of the small New York State

Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation, a group of dedicated volunteers continue to

gather the comprehensive evidence that keeps mounting against this embarrassing

decision that has been covered up in those countries under the political

influence of the United States.

If your local water supply is fluoridated, you should write to your Governor

and legislative representatives, pointing out the above dangers, requesting

that fluoride be removed from your water systems due to the increased risk of

cancer, any medication, such as fluoride can be taken by anyone who desires

and should not be forced on large populations without informed consent.
