I used compounded cream from women's international pharmacy for many years,

hoping it

would help with the very large fibroid -- per Dr. Lee's books and an online

support group. It

did not reduce the size of the fibroid(s) but did help a lot with the hot

flashes which were

making my life miserable. And the literature about it helping with bone density

was also of

benefit. One doctor told me I " must " have a hysterectomy... a second option dr.

said it was up

to me. I chose not to... now through menopause (less estrogen) the fibroid has

shrunk to a

very manageable size. I think the progesterone was very helpful for me ... but

it didn't shrink

the fibroids.

mrtimmylee, exactly. The regular MD pretty much told me by the time

I hit menopause it would shrink, which corroborates with what you've

said and what I've read. Fortunately, this guy was not itching to

operate. The only symptom I have is I bleed more during my period. I

have found taking raspberry leaves alleviates both PMS and cramps.

As for hot flashes, those are still to come. Joy!
