Sumaya,

Welcome to the group and perhaps alternative medicine as a whole. Let's take

the first steps first. Please research our 45,000+ archive of previous messages

here at Alternative Medicine Forum, it is so incredibly easy with the built in

search function- before asking 5,000+ plus people to stop and help you. Just

about any question someone could ask has already been asked and answered many

times over.

How to access the previous messages: go to our home page and click on messages,

look on the first line and you will see boxes where you can enter your search

terms, enter them and then the appropriate messages will pop us. Very, very

simple.

I think you will agree that self-healing requires self-empowerment- a sense that

we can take responsibility for our own health. Please feel empowered to do your

own research and then if you get stuck please by all means feel free to ask.

Otherwise simply asking for the name of the magic drug, I mean herb- is no

different than standard allopathic medicine. Alternative medicine at its best

looks at how food affects our life, our water, our exercise and daily movement,

positive thoughts/prayer/meditation- whatever term you prefer- (this group does

not allow religious posts), laughter, and then the herbs, supplements, etc- it

is how the whole body works together and unfortunately/fortunately it does not

allow for the concept of a magic bullet.

Besides, we are not medical doctors and only MD's can recommend, prescribe,

treat, etc.

Welcome to an incredible journey...

Hello,

I've just join this group and hopefully get responses on my issue.

Both my husband & I have renal stones, we went through very bad experiences

with renal colicks. My first colick was in my first pregnancy and I went

through J stent procedure and lithotripsy after delivery. My husband had

renal colick recently that lasted for 2 weeks. We were known faces in

accident unit. He took lots and lots of poweful analgesics until he passed

this tiny stone.Everbody told us to take different types of herbs but with

nausea and pain u can't even drink water.

My question to this group what is/are the best herbs to use as prophylaxis

and during colics and the amount to be taken.
