skin problems

I person I know recently had dried cracked skin on the bottoms of his feet.

That made it painful to walk.

I made a rinse or soak from Arnica; and then added fresh Aloe Vera juice.

This soothing mixture was applied three or four times a day, and by the next

day the fellow could walk.

Arnica is a powerful and neglected herb.

Last Christmas I accidentally grabbed a metal pan by the handle- from the

oven at about 375 degrees. To say the least it hurt. I quickly placed the

hand in some cool tea, arnica, and aloe vera. I used nothing more...but

prayer of course. I had no burn result, other than a bit of tenderness for a

few hours. I continued cooking.

Tea, as well, has worked to relieve severe sunburn. As a kid I would often

stay out too long, and get those dark red sunburns. Tea and aloe vera

helped...and learning to wear long sleeves and a hat no matter how hot.

I have used arnica as a rinse for the gums- and it speeds healing.

But, it is not to be swallowed I am told; and having taking a bit at times,

I can attest that it can make ones stomach sick. I don't drink or swallow

it...kind of like peroxide.

If one doesn't have arnica about: a now retired and long deceased Pharmacist

(one of the old kind, the guys who actually made up remedies, used a mortar

and pestle, etc) told me that hydrogen peroxide, salt, and water together

are the best mouth rinse for injured gums. I listened...and I still have all

my teeth, lol.
