Guest guest
Is there a possiblity that you took an antibiotic in the Fluoroquinolone class a few years ago? e.g. Cipro,Levaquin,Avelov, are the main ones Rx'd. They can cause all kinds of health problems, with muscle wasting being one of them. Sometimes the effects are delayed for months after these are taken. -- In , " repairman100_43068 " <cadizgirl47 wrote: > > In the last couple of years( I am 59) my muscles have been wasting > away. Guest guest
Barb, I think if you look it up, you'll see conflicting views on " age spots " ; many claim they have been analyzed to be lipofuscin which is only oxidized dietary unsaturated fats. Seems the underlying point is you're oxidizing, thus the acellerated aging. I'd watch your unsaturated fat intake, switch to saturated fats, use more antioxidants, and take undenatured whey and selenium. That much I know is mentioned in age-related degeneration headings. The liver will appreciate that the glutathione produced with undenatured whey and selenium is the biggest liver support anyway. A wholistic consultant in the next town has had many successes with degenerative disorders including a fatal muscle-wasting disease. He's got a protocol here; it's mainly detoxification and nutrients, and he gives a summary and science links on how each nutrient works. http://tinyurl.com/8j6oq Bonnie. > If anyone has any insight into this > (muscle wasting) and the liver thing I would appreciate it. At the same time a complete liver panel blood test can easily be performed. While you go to the doctor for testing and diagnosis THERE IS NO LAW OR RULE THAT MAKES YOU TAKE THE MEDICINE THAT IS PRESCRIBED. Take the doctors Rx but do not fill it unless you wish. Then go to an alternative medical specialist and get a natural approach to trating your problem. > In the last couple of years( I am 59) my muscles have been wasting > away.
