I tried posting but it didn't go through. I have a 9 year old daughter and she

is struggling in school. She has trouble concentrating, focusing and following

directions and isn't where she needs to be. Her teacher has suggested maybe

getting her tested for ADD. but I would like to see if there is a vitamin, herb

or something natural to help. If any one has suggestions please help

Thanks

Amy

doctor in your area who likes to use more natural approaches .

Knowledge and some reseaach on your part will be your best asset.

I have similar difficulties with my son. he also

suffered from depression. His main problem turned out

to be celiac's disease. Have her tested! His ability

to focus is about average now for a 13 year old but he

is much more animated and affectionate now that we

have eliminated pharmaceuticals from his life.

A good diet is critical! Avoid highly processed

foods.

We also have him in a Montessori school. This is a

good environment for " square pegs who don't fit into

round holes. "

He usually gets no more than 35 minutes of computer

or gameboy time each day. Television and " electronic

stimulation " make it difficult to focus.

He may never win a Nobel prize but my son is back and

I enjoy the time we spend together.
