Guest guest
Hi All: I have a question. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, or possibly pre-diabetes. My highest bg reading was 151 at that time. My fasting bg was 85. After doing some reading, I learned that I should try to keep my bg at no higher than 110, and that I should test one hour after eating, because that would be when it was the highest. Not for me. Fifteen minutes after I start eating, my bg is the highest it's going to be for that meal, unless I eat an unusually large portion. By thirty minutes after I start eating, my bg is a little less than at fifteen minutes. By checkng it every fifteen minutes, I've learned that by forty-five minutes after I start eating, it is well on it's way back to my normal. So my question is, why is mine so different. I know everyone is different, but I'm thinking there is something I'm doing, or not doing, or else, my body is still reacting quickly enough that I'm really pre-diabetic and if I can lose a few pounds, I might be able to stay off meds. I'm walking 20 to 30 minutes a day and eating between 1500 and 1800 calories a day. Guest guest
Whatever you do, PLEASE do not join the Diabetes group unless you NEVER want to heal from this easily reversible dis-ease. They are all convinced Type 2 is incurable and that diet doesn't affect their state at all. It was the most depressing group ever and it's totally untrue. Nobody wanted to hear they could help themselves....with DIABETES 2 of all things!? Meanwhile, people are reversing their AIDS, Cancer, MS and more on other sites. Just a heads up! I know that may sound outlandish to some, but if one person has reversed any of the above listed diseases naturally, it disproves that it cannot be done or that these are incurable. I belong to MS Groups, AIDS groups and cancer groups, all on . I also have read Roger's Recover From AIDS and have visited with the writer of: http://journals.aol.com/aidsisover/DiaryofanAIDSDissident/ As far as MS, here's a great site, too, to back up my claim: www.msreversed.com. Dr. Richard Schulze has had a lot of luck with about every disease you can think of, too, including AIDS. He is at: www.herbdoc.com. For diabetes, maybe try this e-book, the author is very credible. I don't get anything if people like it, I just think it might help. It's what I would do. Heck, it's what I try to follow period and it's what I'd do if I had almost anything: a high raw vegan diet. My friend reversed her husbands dx in just a few weeks using Schulze's herbal cleanses (www.herbdoc.com for more info) and following a similar plan to this(which is in essence just practical wisdom, not a gimmick at all): http://www.truthpublishing.com/haltdiabetes_p/yprint-cat21267.htm
Guest guest
Robin, If someone is getting a Glucose Tolerance Test it is very beneficial for them to also have their Insulin levels tested at the same time. This will tell if there is an Insulin deficiency caused by dysfunction of the pancreas. Insulin will respond in accordance to the glucose load and knowing how the body responds can help to properly diagnose and treat dysfunctions in glucose tolerence.
