Guest guest
Vicki, A normal fasting glucose is 65-110. So your fasting level is very good. After eating glucose it can go up to 150 normally, higher if you eat something containing sugar or white starch. (For example, I once ate a bagel and testing my blood sugar soon after. It went up to 350, and then an hour later was back to normal.) A person is considered pre-diabetic if their fasting glucose is 100-125. Over 125 is considered diabetic. But many people can easily control their glucose levels with proper diet and exercise. I have many friends who after being diagnosed as type 2 diabetic lose weight and then be told they are no longer diabetic. Nadine B. Guest guest
Does anyone know the advantages of an 8 hour fasting insulin test over a fasting glucose test?
