Guest guest
My husband is suffering from severe muscle pain after taking Lipitor for about a month. He stopped taking the medication six weeks ago. His CK levels were tested four weeks ago and were 257. A subsequent blood test two weeks later showed a CK level of 284. He is in a lot of pain. He is trying to deal with it by taking 3 Advil tablets when it gets really bad and he just finished a 10 day round of Prednisone. He also takes 100mg of CoQ10 daily. Although he's been told by the doctor it should get better, it has been six weeks since his last Lipitor pill and he is not seeing any improvement. Is anyone aware of alternative treatments for this muscular inflammation? For example, I wonder whether taking aloe vera juice would help or harm. If it couldn't hurt and might even help, how much should a 6'3 " , 225 pound man take? Any other thoughts on what he might try? Thanks very much.
