I like garlic and use it a lot. A friend put the info below in his

blog. Does anyone have any refutations???

An interesting look at garlic

 

The reason garlic is so toxic, the sulphone hydroxyl ion penetrates

the blood-brain barrier, just like DMSO, and is a specific poison for

higher-life forms and brain cells. We discovered this, much to our

horror, when I (Bob Beck, DSc) was the world's largest manufacturer of

ethical EEG feedback equipment.

 

We'd have people come back from lunch that looked clinically dead on

an encephalograph, which we used to calibrate their progress. " Well,

some garlic in my salad dressing! " So we had them sign things that

they wouldn't touch garlic before classes or we were wasting their

time, their money and my time.

 

I guess some of you who are pilots or have been in flight tests...I

was in flight test engineering in Doc Hallan's group in the 1950's.

The flight surgeon would come around every month and remind all of us:

" Don't you dare touch any garlic 72 hours before you fly one of our

airplanes, because it'll double or triple your reaction time. You're

three times slower than you would be if you'd not had a few drops of

garlic. "

 

Well, we didn't know why for 20 years later, until I owned the

Alpha-Metrics Corporation. We were building biofeed-back equipment and

found out that garlic usually desynchronises your brain waves.

 

So I funded a study at Stanford and, sure enough, they found that it's

a poison. You can rub a clove of garlic on your foot - a you can smell

it shortly later on your wrists. So it penetrates the body. This is

why DMSO smells a lot like garlic: that sulphone hydroxyl ion

penetrates all the barriers including the corpus callosum in the

brain.

 

Any of you who are organic gardeners know that if you don't want to

use DDT, garlic will kill anything in the way of insects.

 

Now, most people have heard most of their lives garlic is good for

you, and we put those people in the same class of ignorance as the

mothers who at the turn of the century would buy morphine sulphate in

the drugstore and give it to their babies to put'em to sleep.

 

If you have any patients who have low-grade headaches or attention

deficit disorder, they can't quite focus on the computer in the

after-noon, just do an experiment - you owe it to yourselves. Take

these people off garlic and see how much better they get, very very

shortly. And then let them eat a little garlic after about three

weeks. They'll say " My God, I had no idea that this was the cause of

our problems. " And this includes the de-skunked garlic's, Kyolic, some

of the other products.

 

Very unpopular, but I've got to tell you the truth.

I also work with EEG system a lot. It would be convincible if the

guy could offer some clinically research data or report, for the

brain waveform desynchronization. It is not strange that you can

smell the garlic around wrist after rub on foot, as garlic has

strong odor and it can circulate through air. It would be

convincible if the garlic concentration level increase in your body,

around wrist area.

sulphide (DADs), believed to be an anticarcinogen.[17]

 

In modern naturopathy, garlic is used as a treatment for intestinal

worms and other intestinal parasites, both orally and as an anal

suppository.

 

Garlic cloves continue to be used by aficionados as a remedy for

infections (especially chest problems), digestive disorders, and

fungal infections such as thrush. They are claimed to be an

effective long-term remedy for cardiovascular problems reducing

excessive blood cholesterol levels, atherosclerosis, the risk of

thrombosis, and hypertension but these claims are disputed, as there

has been no clinical trial that has demonstrated any such benefits.

Whole cloves used as vaginal suppositories are sometimes used as a

home remedy for Candidiasis (yeast infections). Garlic is also

alleged to help regulate blood sugar levels, and so can be helpful

in late-onset diabetes, though people taking insulin should not

consume medicinal amounts of garlic without consulting a physician.

In such applications, garlic must be fresh and uncooked, or the

allicin will be lost.

 

Garlic supplementation in rats along with a high protein diet has

been shown to boost testosterone levels [18]

 

Dietary supplements in pill form, as are commonly available, claim

to possess the medicinal benefits of garlic, without (in the words

of one manufacturer) " the unsocial qualities associated with fresh

garlic cloves " .

 

Basically I still believe the benefit of garlic for some illness,

Although need to be careful about some side effect.

That's about how much effort I would put in refuting it.

I had heard that Beck was against garlic, but as for me its been a

lifesaver. Its the most potent broad spectrum antibiotic- does not cause

things to mutate- so it keeps on working forever. I've been using it for many

many years with no ill effects. zoe

Unffortunately, anecdotal reports are not what we need. Someone has made an

argument " against " the value in human nutrition, of garlic, and it must be

refuted with scientific research, or it must be accepted as the opinion of one

person, no better or worse than any other opinion. So that, unless we can

produce some research supporting our point of ivew about garlic, which is likely

to be that it has a good and positive effect on human health, we're obliged to

give it the same credence that we give any serious opinion about a nutrient or

food.

 

This person claims to have " funded a study, " but tells us lilttle about the

study, how it was conducted and by whom. So that as far as I['m concerned, it's

also simply anecdotal, until he gives us all the details. In the meantime,

I'll be looking for research into the subject, one way or the other.

I had heard that Beck was against garlic, but as for me its been a lifesaver.

Its the most potent broad spectrum antibiotic- does not cause things to mutate-

so it keeps on working forever. I've been using it for many many years with no

I'm Italian so I may be biased (:-D) but I LOVE garlic. Although there is some

controversial stuff (mainly within Natural Hygiene), I can see how you have to

be careful with it: I have a cold and blended 1 whole bulb yesterday in a dip

and ate it and WHOAH. Not sure I'll do that again. But I'll do like 6 cloves

today b/c it is working. :-) I think it's great for us. Dr. Schulze says one of

the most important aspects of his INCURABLES PROGRAM is eating 3 cloves of

garlic a day. :-) And he has had success with EVERY disease. If you don't know

Im with you on this one, but it didn't start nor end with Schulze, check

out Dr. Christopher's remedies http://www.herballegacy.com/formulas.htm or

Doc. Shillington's http://www.academyofnaturalhealing.com/default2.asp who was a

student of Christopher just as was Schulze. In short GARLIC is at the

forefront of all the great herbalist's programs and Im not Italian except by

smell LOL.

Hey Paisan! OK, OK... seriously now... if you have the runny nose,

sneezy-head type of cold, then garlic might help, initially, although,

personally, I would go with a ginger, orange peel and scallion congee!

Garlic, taken alone, generates a lot of internal heat and maybe

unbalancing and counterproductive for some conditions. Raw Garlic can be

very irritating to oral tissue... I would not recommend chewing raw

garlic bulbs... HOT!!!!! but roast them and they become sweet... I

know, I know, the Alicin must be activated by crushing and then you wait

5 minutes for the chemical reaction to complete, etc, etc. Surely the

best strategy for handling a cold is to let it run its course by resting

and helping it flush toxins and balance you out with fasting and

sweating... otherwise it will come back again or turn into something worst!

*STEP 1*:

 

COLD Enema to clear LOOSE Fecal Matter out of my Colon, before I begin

" COLD SHEET "

 

I add Herbs to the Water, such as Catnip or Red Raspberry.

 

A COLD Enema causes the Rectal Area to contract, which HELPS to RETAIN

the Fluid LONGER, before I EXPEL the Herbal Tea and the LOOSE Fecal Matter.

*STEP 2:*

 

After expelling the Herbal Tea, the next Step of the " COLD SHEET "

Treatment is the " GARLIC INJECTION " !

 

I take Rectal Syringe from the Drug Store (a wider tube), that allows

not only water, but also small particles of garlic to enter colon.

 

I take 8-10 LARGE Organic Garlic Cloves in a Blender with 50% Apple

Cider Vinegar and 50% clean Water.

 

Dr. Richard Schulze says it's like NAPALM in your Rectum!

 

I put this Solution in with the Rectal Syringe, but I get it in QUICKLY

ALL at once, because once it is inside, I don't feel like keeping it

there ... I want it out !

 

 

 

" It's POWERFUL and it BURNS!

 

I RUN to the Toilet, but it doesn't ALL come out.

 

In about 2 minutes, the Burning and the Cramping go away.

*STEP 3:*

 

I take a HOT Bath, which is as HOT as I can support, without burning my

a VERY LARGE (made-up) Tea Bag.

 

If you put them in LOOSE, you'll plug up the Drain and create a REAL MESS!

 

I use a small cotton pillow case, and I put all herbs inside, and inside

hot bath water.

 

Squeezing it several times for as long as 10 minutes will make more of

it get into the water.

 

The Water turns a Yellowy Orange, and the scent is very strong!

 

These HOT Herbs HELP to induce HYPERTHERMIA.

 

To further ACCELERATE HYPERTHERMIA, I drink HOT Herbal Tea, while I am

inside, in the Bath.

 

According to Dr. Schulze, " For adults, the BEST bitter Diaphoretic

(fever-inducing) Tea is Yarrow, which was what Dr. Christopher suggested. "

 

I prefer Ginger instead, since it is a taste, that I and most People

KNOW and LIKE!

 

Ginger really ACTIVATES the Digestive System, makes you SWEAT, and it's

also readily AVAILABLE! I'm always looking for the Herbs, that really

WORK and are EASY-to-get at your local Health Food Store.

 

You can even get minced, dehydrated Garlic Cloves, if you have NO other

choice. Now you've got the Garlic for the Rectal Injection, and

everything that you will need for the " COLD SHEET " Treatment, from the

Grocery Store. Drink as many Cups of the Herbal Tea as you can get down,

but the MINIMUM is 6!

 

If you get LIGHT-HEADED and you feel like FAINTING, have your Helper

place a COLD Towel or Washcloth on your Forehead. Also, there are 2

Herbal Tinctures (Home-Made), that you should ALWAYS have on hand:

CAYENNE and LOBELIA!

 

CAYENNE PREVENTS People from fainting and LOBELIA STOPS FULL Body

Spasms, that can occur SOMETIMES!

 

When I get to the Point, where I know that I can't stand it 1 Minute

MORE, my wife makes sure I stay for about 5 MORE minutes!

*STEP 4:*

 

Now, My wife helps me out of the Tub, and then wrap me in the " COLD SHEET " !.

 

This is a Double bed-size, clean, White Cotton Sheet (NOT Synthetic

Fabric), that has been soaking in a Bucket of 20 Pounds of ICE, so that

this " COLD SHEET " is definitely ICE-COLD!

 

I don't even NOTICE it though, because I am in ANOTHER World!

 

" COLD SHEET " signals the Body to raise it's Temperature even HIGHER!

 

The sides of the Sheet are then pinned, so that I can NOT throw it off.

 

This " COLD SHEET " draws-out the POISONS and TOXINS, that have come to my

Skin's Surface as a result of the HOT Bath!

*STEP 5: *

 

Now, my wife helps me go into Bed.

 

The Bed has been prepared by putting a Plastic or Rubber Sheet over the

Mattress, then a Cotton, Wool, Linen, or Silk Sheet (ANY Material that

BREATHES - NO Synthetics) is laid over that. I lie down, while wrapped

in the " COLD SHEET " and another dry, Non-Synthetic Sheet is put over me,

and then I am covered with Non-Synthetic Blankets.

*STEP 6:*

 

Lastly, with my Feet uncovered, my Feet and Ankles are oiled with Olive

Oil, a thick Paste of Vaseline (VEGELATUM - Vegetable-based Substitute

is preferable) is then applied and the Garlic Paste.

 

Garlic Paste is made with Vinegar, is applied to the Bottoms of my Feet

to help get RID of ANY Infections in the System.

 

I use 2-inch gauze or torn, White Cotton Strips as a Bandage to hold the

Garlic Paste on the Sole of the Foot. White, Cotton or Wool Socks are

placed over the bandaged Feet.

 

Then, my feet are again COVERED with the " COLD SHEET " .

 

The bottom of this " COLD SHEET " is pinned, so I am in a WET Sack. Then

the DRY Sheets and Blankets are pulled over my Feet for WARMTH.

 

If you have to urinate, then just do it where you are, and do NOT take

the " COLD SHEET " OFF!!

 

The Urine won't HURT anything, and it's NOT worth being REWRAPPED in the

" COLD SHEET " and then having the Garlic Paste REAPPLIED!

*STEP 7:*

 

*I stay *in the Sheets OVERNIGHT and, by the Morning, the Sheets have

turned Multi-Colored from ALL of the POISONS and TOXINS, that have been

drawn OUT of the body.

 

Dr. Christopher said that sometimes the Sheets turn ALL Shades of

Purple, Yellow, Black and Green. These are the different POISONS and

TOXINS, that have been in the Person for Years - sometimes for the

Person's WHOLE Life!

*STEP 8: *

 

In the Morning, I get brushing with a sponge from my wife.

 

I love this part.

 

I take 1 Part each of WARM Apple Cider Vinegar and Distilled Water to

get the remaining POISONS and TOXINS out of the Pores.

 

Then, I get dressed into CLEAN Clothes and I am back to Bed.

 

I only eat Fruit and Vegetable Juices, Herbal Teas, and lots of

Distilled Water for the next 3 days, s to provide a TOTAL Cleansing.

 

Juice fasting is something that youy should definitevly try before you

try hypertermia!

My father, who overcame cancer by following many alternative methods along

with some doctors treatments, set the simple rule for me: two cloves every

day.Its easy to remember; and I simply chop two to three (or four or five

when a bit sick) cloves with a knife, place half on a spoon and swallow with

a galss of water. Then I swallow the second spoon. It really isnt

inconvenient.

I also use about a head of garlic a day in various dishes cooked as well.

 

It is a pillar in my health regime that I refuse to eliminate irregardles of

studies purporting to the contrary.

 

I have heard- and have so far avoided- that garlic is effective against nail

fungus, more as a preventative.

I believe it is a powerful antibiotic, and have always succesfully used it

myself thus.

Some folks I know have used it as a suppository; I like garlic, so eating it

is not difficult. And a bit on a lemon afterward along with a glass of water

gets rid of most of the smell...unless your'e planing on kissing someone.

But through most of the day I dont worry about that, lol.

 

It also appears to me, along with Hawthorn Berries and Niacin, to be

essential for me to continue to use. ( And although these can be dangerous,

I take aspirin.)

When I have stopped using these three and dallied with the fast food/meat

and grease diet for a while, I wind up with chest pains, arrythmias,

tachhicardia, and generally bad health. The Hawthorne, garlic, and Niacin

have always been the " quick tonic " to get rid of those nasty symptoms while

I get back to the diet I am healthy with: veggies ( raw whenever possible),

unprocessed foods, fish, a little chicken, no beef or pork or processed

meat, fruits, oatmeal, citrus; and some form of activity like walking,

chopping firewood, cutting the grass, etc.

 

I have also read many clinical studies that involved garlic. Most supported

that garlic contributed to arterial health, and had antihypertensive

propreties, etc.

I cant recall specifically any regarding its antibiotic qualities, although

I am sure there must be.

I have used it on skin wounds- healing cuts, burns, scrapes etc- along with

aloe vera for quick healing.

 

When I have gotten colds or flu, which arent often, garlic, hot peppers

(chili pequins), citrus, and ecchinacea have brought me back to life.

I personally believe that I owe my continued good health and very life to

daily use of garlic for about 25 years.
