Root Canals?

Hi, all! I haven't posted in ages, but I have a new question. Back

in June I started with an occassional ear ache which I thought was an

infection. I've never had one in my life, not even as a child.

I see a chiropractor on a regular basis, and he's the one that posed

the idea that maybe it was a tooth issue. Well, I've never had tooth

issues in my life either. I use the book, Prescription for

Nutritional Healing, as a reference. I researched a lot Online as

well.

At the end of October I made an appointment to see a dentist referred

by my chiropractor. I set myself up on a supplemental regimin and

eliminated sugar from my diet. I also added Xylitol.

The dentist did x-rays and said that I definately need a root canal.

I asked all the questions I could think of, but remained uneasy with

the dentist and unwilling to commit 2K to saving a single tooth.

I keep looking and looking Online for resources telling me how I can

save my tooth naturally, but I am coming up empty handed. Everything

I've read seems to point to a root canal or extraction as the only

options. I'm leary of both. I do not want to extract the tooth as

it is in my smile. It's the fourth tooth back on the left. I'm

terrified of needles and the whole idea of a root canal.

Can anyone shed any light on this subject for me?

BTW - For those of you that may remember me, my husband is completely

off ALL prescription medications and even the supplements that I used

to help him transition. It's a beautiful thing!

Thanks a lot - Tina
