infection under tooth

Hello Everyone,

 

I have a four year old who fell on the playground a couple weeks ago

and knocked one of her false front teeth loose. The dentist says

there could be an infection under the tooth, and wants me to give her

a course of antibiotics before they pull the tooth in a week. I

really don't want to give her antibiotics, but obviously don't want

to risk an infection. SO, what do you recommend, how much and how

often? Many thanks for your time and assistance.
