Guest guest
Misha can you tell me why you stop silymarin before interferon? - Michael Tierra Tuesday, April 03, 2007 1:08 AM Granule dosage question I'd be interested in hearing more experiences between the use of granules and teas. For instance the upper dosage of Minor Bupleurum in him Che Yeung comes to about 72 to 80 grams a day -- depending on how many grams of jujube dates one uses. Using a 5 to 1 dry extract granule preparation this would mean that a patient take about 16 grams of granules each day, divided into two or three doses. Sorry but I haven't measured out the weight amount of a teaspoon of granules but this formula only involves 7 herbs. Compare this to a total of 141 grams for tian wang bu xin dan which would mean that in granules a patient would need to take 28 grams a day to equal the raw herb dose. (of course one would leave out the cinnabar). This is a great difference both in the concentration of herbs taken and the expense. Now how does this even begin to compare with the dosage of the 8 little pills of the patent tian wang. My general approach is to have a patient take a teaspoon of most granules two or three times daily, swallowed down with water. Measured by this standard, cancer formulas can aspire to the gargantuan both in the amount of herbs and grnuales that would be indicated. I'm forced to consider why I may not always achieve the kind of metabolic changes reflected in symptomology ad other signs such as tongue using such low non-standard doses. I then consider the fact that Kanpo uses about a third of the dosage of TCM formulas and treats the classical formulas almost as if they were homeopathic versions of the same with wider uses and indications than TCM. So I'm interested in: 1. How does one measure and prepare a TCM herbal formula using granules. 2. Comments about the efficacy of dosage variances between TCM raw herb, Kanpo and granules. 3. How much of the granules of a specific formula does one need to prescribe to achieve the results of the TCM formulation.

Guest guest
Hi Alon: Strange, I sent you a private e-mail with this answer a while ago. There is some evidence from a couple of small studies that silymarin interferes with the metabolism of interferon and reduces its activity. At first it was thought to be at the level of the P450 cytochrome but some newer evidence shows the interaction is in the stomach. The evidence is controversial in the naturopathic community, but my feeling it is better to be safe. Since the formulas I work with do not appear to have that problem and have many of the similar to and often better effects than silymarin (which are now shown to be less than we thought by some evidence)in reducing liver inflammation and helping with microcirculaton and have the added advantage of addressing the Chinese patterns of the epidemic disease. I ask people to stop talking silymarin at least two weeks porior to the first interferon injection. The goal with our Chinese medicine and adjunctive treatment in the case of people using interferon based therapies is to support interferon and create the best milieu for clearing the virus and anything that seems remotely possible to be in opposition to that I ask that people not do and for anything that promotes it I ask that people do. Guest guest
Hey Gabby, Good to hear from you. Hep C is a tough one. Many can handle it with the Incurables Program, but some need the conventional approach as well I'm sorry to say. A friend of mine who had couldn't get rid of it with the conventional approach, nor could he get rid of it using the Incurables. It wasn't until he did both together that he finally won that battle. Hep C is a real tough one, and it takes total dedication to getting rid of it, in order to do so. Guest guest
I recently read in the book The Antioxidant Miracle by Lester Packer that lipoic acid is very helpful to treat hepatitis C. I know a lady who has used alternative therapies for over 10 years to deal with hep C., but I'm sorry I don't know the details of her regime. I take every known remedy for hep c including juicing of beets carrots apples, sometimes oatmeal with nuts and ground flax, constant water, greens ( superfood) by Dr shultze liver cleanse daily essiac, iodine, ala, antioxidants by jon barron digestive enzymes selenium, vitamin d and minerals. I exercise daily and do not drink pop or booze and do not smoke. I am scared to death my doctor who doesnt force traditional therapy on me and respects my choices of natural health has suggested I apply for emergency medical. I am on some liquid milk thistle also. I also take peroxide which helped with my stomach pain before but not anymore. I am not having normal bowel movements although no clay color and am urinating very little. I am afraid to eat because i burp alot and get stomach pains. I have done the interferon 7 years ago , they said i was cured but relapsed. I have also done tony's suggested protocol with oleander. I believe there is a cure for cancer and wish that is what i had because there is no doubt in my mind I could beat that, there is no cure for what I have and no hope. can you suggest another idea or area of hope? the tests where of amonia, hep c quant (548 dollars) and hepatic function panel. thanks for any help
Guest guest
Bless your heart. Don't wish you had another disease, as all diseases can be challenging. More importantly, don't despair, and don't lose hope.Tony will be along to specifically address your concerns. But in the meantime, I would like to ask how long you did the Hepatitis C Protocol? Did you implement all of it? In many of these types of diseases, and this very much includes cancer, once one is free of disease, they must not let their guard down. One must continue to reinforce their bodies with the proper supplements and diet, or it is very likely that the disease will return. My best to you,joreine4655 <brenda_petersonoleander soup Sent: Sun, May 9, 2010 1:06:44 PM hep c Hi I have been a loyal reader and dont often write I feel you learn so much more by listening in my case anyway. recently I have been feeling nausea, and not able to digest my food, I knew my hep c has advanced and with no insurance went to the doc had a blood test and she said my liver enzymes came back good but the other test which is supposed to be a high of 40 came back 11,000. Guest guest
When you say you take everything are you including not only substantial amounts of high quality colloidal silver but also the herbal combination from Celia down in Florida and olive leaf extracts. /Hepatitis_Protocol.htm Though there are certainly no universal cures for Hep-C, mulitple people have reported being Hep-C clear after the herbal formula and their have also been reports of people testing Hep-C negative after taking olive leaf extract. Even if you never test Hep-C negative, a good diet and lifestyle and key supplementation should enable just about anyone to still live a pretty normal and healthy life. Guest guest
You might try iherb.com. They have several different brands. The ones from Gaia herbs look pretty good to me.
