Guest guest
Thank you and Barbara for your kind responses. Barbara, I also had a carcinoid tumor removed during my last colonoscopy in March, and fortunately it was benign. The type of cancer I am dealing with is gallbladder cancer, for which I had to have a liver resection done in March 2009. I am missing my gallbladder, bile duct, for which they created a modified one, part of my liver and lymph nodes. I am doing pretty good, and credit the higher power, diet, and regime I am on. , I was so glad when I read the anti cancer protocol, because I am doing most of the things already listed on there.I don't take milk thistle or selenium, though but I was taking alpha lipoic acid in the beginning, but discontinued, as it was not compatible with the Budwig Diet. I don't take supplemental antioxidants, as I understand they conflict with taking omega 3's. Although my digestion is pretty good, it can be challenging at times, so I was wondering what the effects of the liver cleanse was, as far as whether it is harsh, or fairly gentle on the system. I would like to try it but am a little apprehensive. Although I would love for him to change his diet etc my husband is not on the same page as me, ( he has kidney cancer with mets to his lungs and lymph nodes) so could he still recieve some benefit if he doesn't follow the protocol, but still takes oleander, or would it be a waste. Thank you again ... Mary
Guest guest
Hi Mary,Tony has done in depth research in putting A Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol together and everything mentioned there in is compatible with Budwig. Otherwise he would not have included it. I know there are lots of claims that certain antioxidants conflict with Budwig, and maybe there are some, but Tony would not have included these if they interfered in any way. And maybe he can come in and explain the mechanics. As for your husband, taking Oleander would not be a waste. It would be better if he were on the same page that you are on, but I would not discount it. And if he would take additional supplements on the protocol, maybe little by little he would understand that these alternatives, including diet, will ultimately help him. But you can only do the best you can to convince him. If you can't, all you can do is your best. Oleander can only help. The liver cleanse described in the protocol shouldn't be too harsh for you. Just follow instructions and stay near the bathroom on the last day. It is really important to do this cleanse so that the liver is not overloaded with toxins while taking oleander. My Best,kindspirit1111 <kindspirit1111To: oleander soup Sent: Thu, May 6, 2010 10:27:19 PM re:oleander and fish oil? Guest guest
Thank you for your reasurances. I hope I didn't sound like I was scepticle, if I did I really didn't mean to. There is just so much info on the net, and the different protocols, it has been a bit mindboggling. I am in the process of trying to order the oleander from Utopia, but have not been able to connect with them. Will try again tomorrow, from what I read from Mike, they are currently out of the Rose Laurel, and I just want to see when they will get it in again. We are going away so I plan to start with the cleanse and oleander when we come back. If his oncologist okays it, my hubby is willing to go on the oleander so little by little I'm hoping he will do some alternatives. Guest guest
Not at all Mary, I understand how you feel. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet and, unfortunately, this includes the alternative field. You read about miracle cures everywhere you turn and the truth is, there are no miracle cures. Healing comes with a healthy lifestyle and the proper supplements, no other way. Healing does not come overnight, it takes time. When dealing with disease one must make absolutely sure that they are getting the right information. With regard to oleander, I do hope that your husband's oncologist is open to alternative measures. From the bottom of my heart, I would hate to see him discourage you and your husband from using oleander and the protocol. And some doctors do exactly this. There are some doctors that will discourage you from taking any supplements whatsoever and I think that this is a travesty. One thing I would encourage you to do even if you implement conventional means is to strictly follow the protocol, including oleander. Even using conventional means, it can only help. Actually, when taking chemo and radiation oleander and the protocol would be essential, as the person would need everything possible to protect their body and strengthen their immune system. My Best,kindspirit1111 <kindspirit1111oleander soup Sent: Mon, May 10, 2010 11:26:10 PM Re: re:oleander and fish oil?
