Hello...was wondering if anyone had a suggestion here...my friend just found out he has lung cancer, stage 4 and it has spread to the liver and brain...he cannot swallow

and is being fed through a tube. He also has a fungus that the doc says comes from his immune system over reacting to the cancer.

They have not given him any idea of how long he has, etc. but they have shuffeled him around for a month without him being able to swallow and he is now very weak

and is going to hospice which he seems to think is for rehabilitation...I always thought hospice was mainly for those who were about to die...I had them for mother when she about to die.

When you cannot swallow what next???? are there injections, etc. ??

First of all, they are not always honest when introducing hospice to someone. They color it under the guise of special care. This is what was told to my mother, but knowing better, I quietly cornered the person who came for the interview and found out the truth. Actually, to my dismay, but I pretty much knew. They had stopped all treatment without any explanation. Is your friend married, does he have relatives? Maybe someone can find out exactly how much time they think he has left.I just hope that your friend will be at home and not at a facility. What I would suggest is giving him liquid oleander, and colloidal silver for the fungus. He should have at least two ounces of colloidal silver daily, but should also take probotics to ensure that the

beneficial bacteria in his intestines remain thriving.Truthfully, I don't know the extent of his cancer and what type and how much chemo he has undergone, which could have already severely adversely affected his body. But I would still give it a fighting chance and not give up. I would implement the full Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol in full force and effect. Many of the supplements can be found in liquid form and you may want to check with Utopia Silver. By the way, you receive a 15% discount from Utopia Silver by inserting coupon code LR001, if the items are not on sale. For nourishment, I would rely on juicing. Not only will he receive the nourishment he needs, but it has been shown to reverse many serious conditions. You can read more information at the following website: http://www.juicefeasting.com.You can get the liquid oleander at http://www.sutherlandiaopc.com. However, it is shipped from South Africa and takes about 8 to 10 days to reach the United States. Although, we carry a small supply of oleander for emergencies such as yours, unfortunately, we don't have a liquid supply on hand. But while waiting, I would start on the rest of the protocol immediately to give him a head start. You never know, he may have a couple of months which could give the oleander and the rest of the protocol a chance to begin targeting the cancer and give him enough time so that it can be stopped and reversed.I wish your friend the very best.Bobbi <bobbi10oleander soup Sent: Sat, April 17, 2010 1:13:42 PM Can not swallow

I agree with what had to say. One concern is that it may be difficult to get anything that is not mainstream to him in a hospice environment.

Another option might be to consider the patented medicine Anvirzel. It is much more expensive ($2700 for a three month supply) than the supplements or homemade oleander extract would be and you have to send medical records and be qualified, but it might be accepted where supplements would not be. And, it can be injected or taken orally (including via feeding tube).

I'm sorry to hear this about your friend, I'm sad to say there is no next. My Mom had the same thing and she succumbed to it last Christmas and was only 62. She too had lung cancer that went to the brain, she stopped eating for six weeks until she passed at 80lbs. Unfortunately there was nothing we did or tried that would get her to eat, they call it cachexia, she would stare at her food or spit it out, if she did finally eat something (one bite) her stomach would ache in agony. It is a nightmare to watch, wish I had a remedy for you too as I needed for my mom. Yes, you are right about hospice it is for the patients that are soon to leave the world.

I am so very sorry for both your friend and for you.

When my Mom was dying, I found out there are two sorts of hospice. One is for

profit and one not. They had sent out the for profit one whose representative

had not even bothered to check my Mom's medical records. They were ready to

remove all meds and throw out her (hospital) bed to sell a new one to Medicare.

I balked and got rid of them. Mom lived another two years, although only one and

1/2 of those years were joyful for her.

I don't know what influence you can have unless you are a designated health rep

for your friend (as in a living will type of thing).

What you can do, if you've the energy and the time and determination, is to be

with your friend when they ask him to sign stuff and re explain to him exactly

what the hospice wants to do in a way he will understand and then accept or

reject as he chooses rather than someone else.

If he does have a feeding tube, I see no reason why you can't feed him strained

and fresh juices, to try to strengthen him, right thru the tube. No citrus as

the acid will eat thru the tube. Maybe just a squeeze of lemon or lime in a

quart of sprained red bell pepper juice (vitamin C). Nothing too thick and you

must strain out any foam or threads. Leafy green juice and especially dandelion

juice (for respiration problems).

You still might have a fight on your hands. Are you prepared to clean around the

tube your own self?

Best of luck to both of you. You make it sound as though the hospice has misled

your friend. It is not uncommon for the (for profit) hospice to do that.

Thank you Tammatha

I appreciate your email. I am not his caregiver...we are old friends he told me today that he will be going home and hospice will come to his

house to help with bathing etc. I am sure this will not last too long but I think he can afford to have someone come in more often...I will just visit to try and

keep his spirits up.I live about an hour and half away. Fortunately he has had a good ride and realizes that his only choice may be to just embrace these last days with appreciation for the wonderful life that he has led. He has had a very full life, one to envy. God bless you....bobbbi

Bobbi, I am not there to assess the situation, but I just hate to see anybody give up. On a couple of occasions, I have seen where they are spiritually ready to cross over, but that's a whole other discussion. Does he not want to at least try to see if alternative healing would push back his cancer, at least give him more time? There are people on this forum still alive, and some thriving way past the deadline given by their doctors. I assume he has someone who will care for him at home. Would they be willing to do what it takes to attempt to begin the healing process? You never know, there may be more time than they think.I just hate to see anybody give up. My motto is...... I wished I knew about this even a month early before my mom passed. In Gerson therapy you are required to take about 13 juices per day and reality is advanced terminal cancers, you are dealing with intake problems like that.

The answer that coul've saved her life that came too late in our case were FLUID RETENTION ENEMAS.Its just adminestering whatever liquids through enemas. So you wont have to deal with the vomitting, appetite etc.

I suppose this can also work with any liquid based protocols like Oleander, Budwig etc.Good luckJayOn Thu, Apr 22, 2010 at 4:56 AM, May <luellamay129 wrote:
