Guest guest
Barbara - Yes, I have heard of it. It is a procedure where they inject small amounts of radioactive medicine and then take gamma ray measurements. It is claimed to be relatively safe, but then the same can be said about a great number of mainstream drugs and procedures that are anything but safe. I personally am not very comfortable with the idea of putting any amounts of anything radioactive into my body no matter how small. Though the side effects listed are fairly mild and supposedly rare, the thing is that one really never knows what the long term effects of radiation might be. Similarly, most people do not know what agent or cause it was that got their cancers started in the first place - but radiation is one of the candidates. Do your homework and make your decision as you best feel comfortable.
