Guest guest
I keep reading in various posts how ones learn that their cancer has spread to other areas, and I'm wondering how do you find this out? Do you keep getting MRI's or CT scans, or is there a quicker less invasive way. I don't understand what these 'markers' are that are mentioned either. My doctor has not used these terms to us. Thanks, Sanr
Guest guest
Hi Sanr,Metastasis can be detected by an MRI or CT Scan, although because of the high dosage given by a CT Scan, an MRI is preferable. Cancer markers are found in blood and urine tests. These markers are actually substances produced by the tumor.Hope this answers your questions. My Best, s.l-c.o <s.l-c.ooleander soup Sent: Fri, April 2, 2010 6:54:45 AM Metastises I keep reading in various posts how ones learn that their cancer has spread to other areas, and I'm wondering how do you find this out? Guest guest
Thank you , The doctor has not ordered either an MRI nor a CT but they have taken blood and urine tests. Nothing was said about the results showing any spread to other parts of the body. He has had surgery, biopsies and chemo cream, and as far as it goes now, we see no improvement, only looks worse. I asked the doctor how they will know if it spread to other places and he said that's a good question. I don't like what's happening here but I'm going to have to wait till the next appt, next week to say anything or hear anymore from the doctor. They've already suggested more invasive surgery like they know this is not working and they have an agenda. I have just lost my confidence in them but if I ask for another opinion it will be their choice of another colleague since we have to go by our healthcare provider to pay the insurance. So I don't know what good that will do.My husband trusts and just goes along with the establishment so I feel like a voice in the wilderness. Guest guest
Hi Sanr,In some instances, biopsies and surgery actually cause the cancer to spread. What I would suggest doing is following A Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol in its entirety, or as much of it as possible. This protocol focuses on the oleander extract which has strong anti-cancer and immune strengthening supplements. However, the rest of the supplements and lifestyle recommendations are just as important. Oleander is 90% effective in Stage I and II cancers and 85% effective in Stages III and IV. But a complete healthy lifestyle must also be followed. Guest guest
My Dr. tells me that scans are expensive, I have no medical insurance and he won't order a Pet scan or an MRI, any suggestions? I called the free clinic a few years ago they told me that I have to have a job and be working in order to quailify for free care. I was diagnosed with bladder carcinoma in 2007, later they found a spot on my lung. The only testing that i've had done is blood work to check my kidneys, liver, etc... Many have at least some medical coverage for those of us not working. I get MRI's covered totally by my county, same with doctors and pay $1 for prescriptions. Some of the care is really bad but that goes for those with expensive insurance as well. Cyndi

Guest guest
Hi Robyn, I have the same thing. I was in the hospital for ten days almost died. I was diagnosed with the breast cancer back in June 2006, it metastasized to my bones (spine) last June. Yes, it can paralyze. If the bones become brittle enough and start breaking, I'm told it is the worse pain one can experience. When I went to emergency last June I could not walk or stand upright, it was the worse pain in the worls and can't even convey the excrutiating pain that I experience, it was a nightmare to remember. Amazingly I walked out of the hospital, never thought it was going to happen. I laid there ten days filled with Dilaudid, it is stronger than Morphine. Not sure how I walked out, the only they they did for me was the pain killer and a blood tranfusion oh... and also drained my lungs they filled up with fluid from the cancer. I'm doing really well right now, but you have to completely change your lifestyle. They' ve already suggested more invasive surgery like they know this is not working and they have an agenda. I have just lost my confidence in them but if I ask for another opinion it will be their choice of another colleague since we have to go by our healthcare provider to pay the insurance. So I don't know what good that will do.My husband trusts and just goes along with the establishment so I feel like a voice in the wilderness. Thanks,Sanr
Guest guest
For the last 2 years I have been doing budwig about 70 percent, plus essiac, plus some other supplements. Still have way to much stress. The last couple of months I have been drinking about 80 ounces vegetable juice a day. This protocol focuses on the oleander extract which has strong anti-cancer and immune strengthening supplements. However, the rest of the supplements and lifestyle recommendations are just as important. Oleander is 90% effective in Stage I and II cancers and 85% effective in Stages III and IV. Guest guest
Robyn,I would recommend that if you feel that your cancer is metastasizing that you incorporate as much of A Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol as possible. In fact, all of it would be ideal. I would also make sure to take oleander, the focus of the protocol. Budwig is part of the protocol and Essaic is good, but when it comes to cancer, you really can't leave a stone unturned. What other supplements are you taking, and is there some way you can relieve the stress in your life? Guest guest
Robyn - is right - follow as much of the protocol as you can and work yourself up to the maximum tolerated amount of oleander daily (which would be up to 10 capsules of the SOPC or 8 capsules of the OPC Plus based on a body weight of 150 to 200 pounds). Cancer can be very dose dependent when it comes to getting the best results with oleander, especially more difficult and/or aggressive cancers. I am extremely high on Budwig as well, but sometimes you need more than that. Budwig and oleander work very well together and a particularly good combo for breast cancer when combined with iodine and methylselenocysteine. Oleander has also been very, very good with cancers that have mets to bones and other locations. Essiac is, in my opinion as well as others such as Cancertutor's Webster Kehr, very good to have as an element in an overall cancer fighting protocol, primarily due to it's cleansing properities, but by itself we do not consider it a strong cancer fighter. Leave no stone unturned - at least when it comes to the items in the suggested protocol. For some people it may be more than needed, but for others it may take every bit of it - and when your very life depends on it I think it should be "all in". Do whatever it takes to lessen that stress too. If that means eliminating people and places that are stressful, so be it. Stress will hinder recovery and it is not called "the silent killer" for nothing. Practice meditation or yoga, EFT, etc. Try to make your home, or at least part of it, a safe haven from stress. See my article: How to Make Your Home a Haven All the best and don't hesitate to ask any questions you have.
