Guest guest
Hi Jeremy, When I have persistent coughs to the point where I am coughing up pink phlegm, I found that taking a good quality vitamin C capsule (1000 mg) every hour until the cough disappears works well. It usually takes 5 or 6 doses. I also take a good quality Vitamin E (400iu) with every second dose of Vitamin C, 2 or 3 times in one day. Rarely the cough continues after a good night's sleep, but if it does, just keep the same routine until the cough is gone. regards Linda
Guest guest
Thanks to all for your replies. Regarding Linda's reply. I occasionally cough up a greenish/yellowish phlegm-not pink. Does this having any bearing on the treatment you mention? Also is n there no danger to the kidneys with such an intensive dosage of vit C? Guest guest
Hi Jeremy,Greenish-yellowish phglem is a sign of infection. Nebulizing with colloidal silver will get rid of the infection. You may want to also take it internally. Lobelia also has many benefits and it will relax your bronchial tubes. Clear Lungs will also be effective in eliminating the congestion. My Best,
Guest guest
A few simple things that have not yet been mentioned: Breathe steam (carefully, of course)- can just stand over a little pot with water hot enough to steam good. Breathe vapors from eucalyptus essential oil - can be dropped in that steam pot or I often just put a drop in palm of one hand rubbing quickly together with other hand & hold palms over nose & breathe in deeply. Apply heat to chest area. Since I gave up electric heating pads when I learned about the elelctrical frequency issues, what I do is heat a grain bag in the microwave (only thing I use microwave for)then lay down with it on chest. Years ago from a friend with a little girl with a disease with muscle -tone issues so that she did not have a strong cough: beating on chest with a cupped hand physically helps to loosen congestion. A relatively new find for me is osha root--I have a tincture, my daughter gets root pieces and brews tea. It is lung specific and pulled her husband right back out of an early pneumonia. End of my list. Hoping that you find something in all our suggestions that will be helpful. Guest guest
Hi Jeremy. I dont know if you can have alcohol ? But if you do here is a recipe that will help your cough. In a cup mix- 1 teaspoon honey. 1 Cap Brandy and 1 drop Essential Peppermint oil and drink it , down closing your mouth to keep the peppermint vupus in and around the throat, plus the lungs. Dont eat or drink nothink for at least 20 minutes. Use --- 3 times daily You can make and have around 10 doses and keep it handy. By useing the above mesures 1 honey, 1 cap brandy and 1 drop peppermint makes one dose. Also Slippery elm powder tea with 1 drop peppermint oil will ease the cough. Note ....... Dont take more then 5 drops peppermint oil a day. I hope this helps you. Guest guest
This sounds like a marvelous cough suppressant recipe. The thing is, you have congestion that is greenish and yellowish in color. This is a sign of infection. The coughing is the body's way of trying to expel it and this is very important. Leaving that stagnant congestion in your body could cause serious problems. That is why I keep referring to colloidal silver, lobelia, and Clear Lungs. It is a sure fire way of clearing the respiratory tract. Once the congestion is eliminated, you will feel much better. My Best,
