Guest guest
Eric - Speeding up the heatbeat has nothing to do with it - and the amount of cardiac glycosides in oleander is so small that there is usually little if any heartbeat increase. No one really knows exactly how all the many cancer fighting and immune boosting compounds work synergistically to stimulate immune activity and fight cancer cells, just that they do. Among the compounds that have been identified are the major active cardiac glycoside Oleandrin, and a number of other lesser cardiac glycosides and other proven cancer fighting and immune boosting compounds such as Beta-sistosterol, Quercitin, Linoleic-acid, Oleic-acid, Adynerin, Alpha-amyrin, Betulin, Oleandrinogen, Oleandrigenin, Foliandrin, Folinerin, Gitoxigenin, Isoquercitrin, Lauric-acid, Oleanolic-acid, Rutin, Stigmasterol, Ursolic-acid, Uzarigenin. You can get an idea of how some of the mechanisms work in the text and graphics in this article: /autophagy.htm Also, it has been reported that European studies in 1986-87 found that oleander extract had six times the immune stimulating activity of the most potent patented immune stimulators at the time. All the best, oleander soup , "erickingcity1st" <erickingcity1st wrote:>> By speeding up the heartbeat? How does this all come together to help us?
