Guest guest
I have been using CS for many years off and on. I have a genetic lung disease where the cilia do not function which leads to exposure to pathogens that are not cleared from the natural sweeping effect of cilia. Over the years, the bacterial infections have become increasingly more severe and resistant to the most powerful antibiotics. The bugs cause inflammation which destroys the lungs over time. Pseudomonas is esp. insidious because it forms a film, or slime coating as it mutates and is impervious to antibioics, and apparently colloidal silver. I have taken large doses of oral CS and also used it in a nebulizer to little effect. CS, essential oils, garlic, etc. do not seem to permeate the biofilm. I have tried everything! I don't want to end up on an O2 tank. I am taking Oleandar for immunity along w/ many other things, but still have to rely on antibiotics or I will end up on IV's and in the hosp. Any ideas? Thank you in advance! Dan

This article has been cited by other articles in PMC. ABSTRACT The predominant pathogen in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) is Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which results in a chronic lung infection associated with progressive pulmonary insufficiency. In a rat model of chronic P. aeruginosa pneumonia mimicking that in patients with CF, we studied whether the inflammation and antibody responses could be changed by treatment with the Chinese herbal medicine ginseng. An aqueous extract of ginseng was injected subcutaneously, and cortisone and saline were used as controls. Two weeks after challenge with P. aeruginosa, the ginseng-treated group showed a significantly improved bacterial clearance from the lungs (P < 0.04), less severe lung pathology (P = 0.05), lower lung abscess incidence (P < 0.01), and fewer mast cell numbers in the lung foci (P < 0.005). Furthermore, lower total immunoglobulin G (IgG) levels (P < 0.01) and higher IgG2a levels (P < 0.025) in serum against P. aeruginosa sonicate and a shift from an acute type to a chronic type of lung inflammation compared to those in the control and cortisone-treated groups were observed. These findings indicate that ginseng treatment of an experimental P. aeruginosa pneumonia in rats promotes a cellular response resembling a TH1-like response. On the basis of these results it is suggested that ginseng may have the potential to be a promising natural medicine, in conjunction with other forms of treatment, for CF patients with chronic P. aeruginosa lung infection. Guest guest
I know systemic enzymes are very important for inflamation and have used them everyday for the last 2 years with success for various body aches and will continue to take them for the rest of my life. They are wonderful for inflamation and pain. I know nothing personally about your condition, but perhaps you can do a Google search for systemic enzymes. Guest guest
Hello Dan, It seems you do have your work cut out for you. I would of hoped your Nebulizer & CS would of help. My wife suggest ( not a Doctor just an RT) Mucomyst which is a Mucolytic (Mucus break down) and ad Albuterol. Acquire an AVI Vest which is covered by insurance. This Percusses your chest and helps clear the Lungs. Another couple of Therapies or Protocols are: 1-H2O2 Protocol- 35% Food grade Hydrogen peroxide at 10-15 drops in a glass of Distilled water everyday or twice a day. 2-Bob Beck Protocol- it just may be a good choice. Just go to: Beck-blood-electrification There ya go! Hope you do well with this cause the Progression of this disease is not good as you already know. Prayers for you! Guest guest
Hi Dan, There is one substance which clears lungs from the inside out and it is called hydrogen peroxide. I am currently on 25 drops of 35% H2O2 3x a day in a glass of water, just to test out the literature I came across, stating this as the top dosage. I have no problem with it and it does take phlegm out of not only the windpipes, but also the alveoli. You would have to start much lower of course, something like 3 drops twice a day and slowly go up as it feels right, otherwise you might choke to death on what is comming out I guess. It has to be drunk on an empty stomach. The very mild cough comes some 5-10 minutes after ingestion, rather wet and rich with mucous. With kind regards, Slavek. dncrw wrote: > > > > I have been using CS for many years off and on. Guest guest
I asked on another list and got this answer back: You might want to consider for lung biofilms: DMSO in solution with perhaps CS? (many people add DMSO to the CS in a nebulizing machine because the DMSO carries the CS deeper, penetrates more and has its own healing abilities) And/or Some Fibrinolytic Enzymes to consider to combat biofilms: 1) Nattokinase 2) Serrapeptase 3) lumbrokinase And/or the Chelating agent: EDTA All help can help penetrate or dissolve the biofilm Also, the enzymes should be used in conjunction with a anti-microbial at the same time for a 1-2 punch. Plus I would probably use DMSO to.............. Hopefully to move all along.

Guest guest
- Yes, you know I thought about that right after I sent the message....I should have specified that I took Mesosilver and more recently, Utopia Silver. I buy it by the gallon. I was taking 8 TBSP a day when I was acutely ill and nebbing it 2 x daily. It probably helped keep me from getting sicker, but I ended up on powerful antibiotics (2 at a time)anyway. The bug is highly resistant to antibiotics. I have to take the drugs or I could end up in the hosp. on IV's and barely able to breathe. Guest guest
Bless your heart Dan, I am very familiar with pseudomonas and I know how difficult it is to eradicate. The condition that you described reminds me very much of my own mother's and believe me my heart goes out to you.My mother's underlying condition was caused by Bronchiectasis, and if your doctor has not mentioned this, please ask him about it. This was the diagnosis after months of dealing with pseudomonas. Below is a description of the disease and I hope it helps:Bronchiectasis is a rare disease that affects people’s lungs. With bronchiectasis, people’s airways (bronchial tubes) are damaged: Brochiectasis damages the tiny hairs (cilia) that line the inside of your airways. Damaged cilia can't do their job of sweeping dirt and mucus out of your lungs. With bronchiectasis, your airways widen and stretch out. In some places the airways are so stretched out they form little pockets. Germs, dust and mucus collect in these pockets and get stuck. After a while the germs, dust and mucus that are stuck in your airways get infected. Your tiny hairs (cilia) can't sweep them away, so the infections keep coming back. People with bronchiectasis get many infections in their airways. Bronchiectasis creates a vicious cycle; infections in airway pockets damage your airways, and when your airways are damaged you get more infections. Bronchiectasis can’t be cured, but with the right treatment, most people with bronchiectasis can live relatively normal lives. People with advanced cases of bronchiectasis can have more difficulty with day-to-day activities. My very best to you,

I used the Serra Enzyme™ 80,000IU for approx 3 months, and I took them just prior to bed and on waking, between 3-6 capsules a time, whatever I felt like. Guest guest
Hey Dan, I myself shows signs of COPD my Wife says. 25 years of smoking and quit 16 years ago but now paying for it. The Percussing by Hand I bet works well. I have an Electric Percusser. It was a massager but does well for the giving the Hands a break. Albuterol I know makes me Jitter Jive TOO! Xopenex is another great Brochodialator with less side effects. Now for the h2o2 as you know can taste like Bleach to me if it's too much. Maybe try 15 drops in 12 oz of distilled 2-3 times a day on an empty stomach 20 mins prior to food or drink. I first started Nebbing 5-8 cc of 3% dillution 2-3 times a day. It seemed to help me get over a Bad cold fast. It Freaked out my Wife and she made me stop. But there is an Older Guy (Bill Munro) 86 years old now that I believe had cancer 2 times and fought it off each time by using 3% h2o2 in a Nasal Spray bottle in his mouth as an inhaler. He has a Youtube Demo how he does it. Hope this helps, Ron dncrw wrote: Ron, Thanks so much for the suggestions. Guest guest
I there a product that contains fibronolytic, pancreatic, systemic, digestive enzymes in one pill or capsule? If none, then which is the best serrapeptase with nattokinase product? Thanks. Melly oleander soup , " dncrw " <dncrw wrote: > > > Thanks for all the info! I have been on Serrepeptase before, perhaps I should take it again. I thought about the DMSO but didn't know if it would be safe to use in the lungs. Guest guest
- Yes, you are right. I have bronchiectasis, and yes, it is terrible. Do you know what caused it in your mother? Pseudo needs a weakened lung before it can take up residence. I fully intend to keep fighting it, but it often seems like it's getting the best of me. There are some new antibiotics in the pipeline which may help buy some time. I know everyone here probably hates the thought of these drugs, but they have saved many lives. Thank you for your ongoing kindness. Dan oleander soup , May <luellamay129 wrote: > > Bless your heart Dan, I am very familiar with pseudomonas and I know how difficult it is to eradicate. Guest guest
Dan,No I don't know what caused my mom's bronchiectasis. I do know the condition is rare. Besides her, and we found out about it in 2002, you are the only other person that I have heard of with this condition. My mom never smoked, so I cannot attribute it to that. Now, in my mother's case (and I don't know if this is how bronchiectasis progresses, or if it was a separate issue), she developed fibroid tumors in her lungs, and this is what took her. I did not find out about the tumors until she was put on hospice, and it was virtually too late to address this. Hers is a long story, and the doctors weren't always honest with me, or they didn't know what exactly was going on. You may want to talk to your doctor and see if this is a possibility. If it is a possibility, I would strongly suggest taking oleander. Oleander addresses irregular cells. And Marc Swanepoel would be able to guide you as to the proper dosage for a condition such as this. Even taking antibiotics, I would not stop taking colloidal silver or even nebulizing with it and someone suggested nebulizing with DMSO and colloidal silver, which is a good idea. DMSO helps colloidal silver penetrate into the tissues.Dan, I know how very ill someone with bronchiectasis gets, but don't let it get the best of you and keep fighting. You know, there is always an answer, we just have to find it. Let me do some research and see what I can come up with. Please know that we are here for you, and we are also here to support you emotionally. Guest guest
Kirsty- Thank a lot for the info, and for sharing. I took Serrapeptase for quite some time, did not notice anything profound and eventually stopped it. Have you heard of an enzyme called Mucolase? It specifically breaks down mucus. I also took it for several months, again not noticing anything profound. I did buy a bottle of Serrapeptase and will give it another shot. My condition is very chronic/progressive so things don't seem to work as well as they do in others. Glad you had good results! My breathing improved a great deal and bad coughing (smokers) stopped completely. > I used the Serra EnzymeT 80,000IU for approx 3 months, and I took them just prior to bed and on waking, between 3-6 capsules a time, whatever I felt like. It also makes my body want to STRETCH & STRETCH when I take it - I find that very interesting. > > regards > Kirsty >

Guest guest
RE:<I did buy a bottle of Serrapeptase and will give it another shot.> Did you take it on an empty tummy? I really made a big effort to do that. I would even take a few capsules if I woke in the middle of the night, when I knew there was nothing else inside for it to be used up on. I would take more capsules when I knew I was empty :-) - like 6-8 or so. The Serrapeptase also totally got rid of a lump I had on my ankle that was extremely sore and growing up the bone in my leg. I couldn't flex my ankle without pain. Scan show there was a blood supply to the lump. Think it was a tumor but never had a biopsy (needle phobia). It had been there for about 5 years and was starting to grow quite rapidly up my leg, painful to touch. It's completely gone now. regardsKirsty
Guest guest
Hi Kirsty,Needle phobia is good. Biopsies sometimes actually spread the cancer to other parts of the body, as does surgery. My Best,
