Guest guest
Greetings: My name is Willowmist Athiele Farley. But I just go by either Willow or Mist depending on who I'm with. I am female and 44 years old. I have one child who is grown and in the military and one granddaughter and another on the way. Lord I'm too young to be a grandmother….. I grew up on Native American Ceremonial grounds and trained under the medicine men of the tribe frequently until I was a teen when the elders of the family died and the property was sold. I studied under family gathering knowledge from multiple disciplines in religious studies, and Magickal. Until in my late 30's. I use/practice many levels of energy work…. I am adept at handling Ambient, Elemental, Soul, Kundalini, Veil, & Core Energies. I am also well practiced in all I can call Magnetic Earth Fields and of space. I live in South Western Missouri near Branson. Depending on our ODD weather which it has really been odd lately we could be classed as zone 6a to 7 For growing things. Each year it has gotten a bit stranger weather wise around here. If you don't like the weather just wait a day and you'll have something else literally. I have loved plants all my life and have an affinity in being able to grow almost anything I put my mind too. I grew up on 50 acre farm with almost any plant you can imagine in the old fashioned farms. My biggest problem here is we have more stone than dirt where we live and the county is called stone county due to the lack of dirt and aplenty of stones. When I lived in Utah our family didn't have a lawn it was all garden beds. But when we moved the person whom purchased our property promised me that I could dig all the plants up as there was a motel being built there soon. Well promises weren't kept and I lost everything and I had a lot of plants which were rare. After that I went into the Alternative Healing Profession and built a business and school from the ground up. From 1989 to 2003. Formerly licensed within the States of Arkansas-Oklahoma-Texas for Licensed Massage Therapist with Master's & Instructors Degrees Reverend of Universal Life Church, Certified Nurses Assistant, Certified Emergency Technician, Licensed in adjunctive therapies of: Helio, Hydro, Electro Therapies Certified Orthobionomy Practitioner Certified Kinesiologist & Touch for Health Certified Cranio-Sacral Practitioner Certified Somato Emotional Release Certified Verbal Facilitator Hypnotherapist & Instructor of Hypnosis Certified Aromatherapist In 2000 I broke my low back lifting a patient whom was a regular. Then I lost everything over a period of 2 years.. I'm disabled and my husband is a manager for a local business and has his own photography business on the side which we both are working on building and hopefully one day it will be self sufficient. I haven't had an honest to good garden in years, even though I live on 15 acres, way out in the country now. This past spring I received a greenhouse frame for free, and my husband promised that he would help me build raised beds in and out of it so that we could free up one room of our house which is entirely mine and ALL plants. I love researching plants and their healing abilities. And want to become as self sufficient as possible within the next 2 years. My husband and I rescue unwanted pets and currently we have 9 cats and 2 dogs we just adopted a beautiful black German Sheppard that had some conformity problems and would have been put down simply because he was not well mannered. Now I think he was simply misunderstood as he's a beautiful boy with lots of potential. We are training our first dog which is a great dane to be a therapy dog and hopefully our new boy will join her in about 2 months in training once he is all healed up and back to a healthy weight. I'm not an eco freak but I do recycle and try to be as environmentally conscious as possible. We have feed out for all the wild animals: coons, skunks, deer, tons of birds, coyotes, wolves and an occasional puma. There was also a bear spotted near where we live a couple of years ago. And we don't allow any hunting on our property I'm too much an animal lover. I'm not religious so to speak I'm much more a spiritual person who believes that each person has their own path to follow. Although I do love native American traditions. I prefer the out of doors to being inside with people I love the quiet. I'm pretty much an open book all you have to do is ask. If anyone lives near or around the Branson area here feel free to contact me I'd love to chat or even meet. I am a lady at heart, first and foremost, with a very specific set of values fore which I will not set aside. I am very down to earth and worship nature in its most defined elements. Nature is sensual just like a woman who is free within her own sexuality. Even in her rawest untouched aspects. I believe in honor, chivalry, and ethics in all realms of daily living, and spirituality. That respect for all things is necessary for our interpersonal levels to grow and find wisdom in our maturity. As well as balance with our world and everything beyond it and on it. I seek and value and appreciate cultured mature, intelligent, mindful discussion of wholistic, and ecological methods to healing of the body mind and spirit of not only ourselves but all sentient creatures of our universe. I am on a personal walk to find my true self from illusion I also appreciate an insightful humor and good will. I most deeply appreciate those with whom respect me for me, and allow me to be just whom I am, and not what they can get from me, or believe they can manipulate out of me. I enjoy many things not all of which are to be shared with just anyone. Being an open book I have learned is not something which I care to be to everyone. Only a chosen few may ever learn all there is to know at any present moment of which I may know. As I am a coalescing evolving sentient being as are all of us on mother earth though some may not wish to acknowledge being such. I love someone who isn't afraid to be down to earth one moment and being totally at one with their inner child the next. But also someone who can be so utterly intense without even trying. I cherish life, and all of its most simplistic aspects. Being at ease with yourself, is the first step in loving yourself. And to evolve as a sentient being we all must learn to deal with our personal baggage in what ever manner is necessary so long as it is positive, nurturing and clearing of negativity. I detest, Ignorance, Insolence, Abusiveness, Argumentative, Braggarts, Bullies, Cynicism, Cruelty, Filthiness, Laziness, Racism, Repugnance, Politics, Slovenliness, Stealing, Lying, Rudeness, these actions and things are for me a total turn off. I truly enjoy spending time at sunrise, when the day is still so fresh and the dew of the fleeting night shimmers upon the land. Listening to the birds as they awaken and sing in pleasure of the coming day. And all of its many wonders and simple joys we often either take for granted or simply no longer take even the simplest moment to enjoy. Clean Country living, Rescuing animals, Eco-Green Living, Cuddling in front of the Fireplace, Studying everything Astronomy to Zen. Watching the sun rise with a cup of freshly ground exotically flavored coffee with a friend. Dancing in the rain, Smell of the air right after it has rained. Walking through the grass in the morning before the dew has dried on the grass. Closing my eyes & being at peace with the earth & its many wonderful spirits! Reading is an important part of my life but my venues are so broad it would take far more space than here to list them all. I believe that you can go anywhere with a book. It is sad that there are so many that can not read in this day and age. They miss so much. With the on vent of the television our world has changed so very much. But I am not sure it was for the better, as so many rely upon it for education now. The Herbal by Gerard, Witch world, series by Andre Norton, People of the Earth by Michael & Kathleen Gear, Sacred Path Cards & Book, We have learned to fly in the air like birds, & swim in the sea like fish, but we have not yet learned the simple art of living together as brothers & sisters. Why is that? Every though we have makes up some segment of our world as we perceive it. It is then with our thoughts - our perceptions that we first must work, if we are to change our world. The world, and all its beautiful vista's before man ruins them with his trash. High Mountains, National Parks. I hope to visit Ireland, Spain, South America, Wales, Germany, Egypt, & the Far East in my lifetime should the opportunity present its self. Favorite Movies: Pay it Forward, Ben-Hur, Phantom of the Opera, Striptease, August Rush, Wall-E, Journey to the Center of the Earth. Seven Pounds, The day the earth stood still, Star Trek every show and movie, Australia, Avatar, The Peaceful Warrior Favorite Music: Jazz, Soft Rock, Native American, New Age, Opera, & Some Soft Rock. Favorite Restaurants: Red Lobster, Buckingham's Olive Garden, And Picnics! Favorite getaway: is to go somewhere where I won't run into people and its brutally natural., One remains forever shrouded, while clothed, bejeweled, painted with cosmetics even to the extent of scenting ourselves, in an attempt to achieve a persona, or outward expression of what they want others to " see as their true self " . A mask they wish thus to portray. But in doing so, what or who are they truly hiding from? We came naked and unadorned into this world, thus should we be judged by not what we perceive on the outside of a person, but instead by what they are inside through their own actions. For even words can be a mask of sorts!
Guest guest
Merry Meet Mist. I feel for your love to grow things, hampered by rocky ground and a broken back. Congrats on getting a greenhouse! The way the climates are going, we need to be able to hedge our bets any way we can. Mine fell apart a few winters ago and I miss it. However, I finally have a good deer fence and that makes up for a lot. One way to garden for a broken-backed person is to build a keyhole garden. Put all those rocks to work! Google it, there are demonstrations on youtube. Speaking of weather: we are DRY, it is getting scary.
